We had a great trip to San Francisco overshadowed by the rudeness of the management and staff at this hotel.
From the moment we tried to book in at the front desk, we had problems with the staff. First, were confronted by a woman called Kiki, who thought it was ok to make personal calls for 15 mins while people were trying to check in after a long flight. She wouldn't even look at us or allow us to speak until she finished her call...which did not sound important. And, after she put down the phone she started hollaring at some poor Office Depot guy for putting a delivery in the wrong place....clearly we were her last concern. Wheh she did finally get to us, then came the revalation that they had lost our booking, and we were looked at suspiciously - like we were making this up or something!
One hour later after finally getting a room we saw that the room they tried to give us was clearly not the room we had booked - it was the smallest room I had ever seem. We were then transfered to the Genaral Mgr Angelos Kobolotos - unbelievably rude person. We left multiple messages on his phone but he would never return them. After we finally got through, he tired to refer us to another person and basically give us the run around. He even tried to send us to a lower star 'sister' hotel the Fitzgerald, without a rebate!
We got tired of their games and left early...they charged us for the early checkout but it was worth it just to get away!
