I love this place and I love the new things that I can find there all the time. Everytime I go there, I find something that I've not seen yet. It's amazing how fast you can fill up a basket with .99 items. Best of the best.
PROS: .99 for everything you can get in your car.
CONS: Restraint might be needed!

This store is HUGE. Lots of things you need. If you can't find it at the 99 cent store near you, it's probably here, although I couldn't find an organizer for my utensils. Big CD / video selection and all the knick-knacks needed for the house.
PROS: Parking, selection, price
CONS:

I agree with the other reviewer. What an awesome store! Actually, if you cannot find what you want, go to the one just up the street from there. Make sure to check out the cell phone accessories and PDA accessories - those can be a particularly good deal. And it is a good place to buy cleaning supplies and day old bread and bagels.

Although there are many 99 Cent branches through Los Angeles, this one at Wilshire Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue is the best. It seems to have the best selection (as evidenced by the large crowds). As the name implies, there is nothing over 99 cents here, and many of the items are actually two or three for 99 Cents. This is a combination grocery store, hardware store and drug store. All sorts of toiletries, cleaning supplies, paper goods, and hardware can be found, as well as many food supplies. I will admit I am hesitant about buying a lot of food here as they have no problem selling outdated products (check the label always). But if that doesn't bother you, happy shopping!
