Three weeks ago I brought my car into one of those quick change oil places, one that I have used several times in the past. Everything when well and they tried to do the normal upsell, offering to install a $6.00 air filter for $25.00 and I politley declined. The next day I head over to Pep Boys, buy the filter and when I go to install it I noticed that there was a bracked that had been cracked due to what looks like the air filter cover being pried off instead of the bracket being removed correctly. I drive an '06 Hyundai Elantra...not a fancy HiPo car but I keep it very clean and take great care of it. I drive back to the oil change place, ask for the manager and politely say that it appears the bracket may have been damage by one of the techs. I also tell him that I cannot prove this but the bolt that held the bracket to the cover of the air cleaner doesn't looked like it had been removed (there was road dirt still around it) and the air filter has never been changed. He says no worries, sorry for the incoveniece and that he'll be more than happy to take care of it. He says we'll order the part and he'll call me by Tuesday the 7th. No call on the 7th. On the 8th I call and "just missed him" so I leave a message to please have him call me. No return call from the 8th to the 13th. On the 13th I call and reach him but he hasn't ordered the part yet and glosses over the fact that he never called me. I'm a little miffed at this point but still polite and I ask when I can expect to hear from him. He says "I'll call you on the 20th for sure." and we leave it at that. The 20th comes and goes as does the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. On the 24th I call, get him and he says that the part is there, when can I come down? I tell him either that afternoon or first thing this morning and he says great. Yesterday afternoon freed up a bit so I headed over. The manager isn't there so the guy on duty calls him to let him now I'm here for the part. Come to find out the part is not there, it's in the assistant manager's car who is off for the day. Doing my best to keep my cool I let him know that I have been trying to get this fixed for three weeks, I've had to chase the manager down to get updates and that this needs to be taken care of today. The on duty tech gets back on the phone and then tells me, "We've got it all worked out, come back at 5pm and the part will be here." Unfortunately I got tied up and didn't get there so I got up early this morning and headed over. The manager is actually there, sees me pull up and walks over. I tell him I'm here to get the part put on and the conversation goes like this...

Me - "I'm here to get the part installed."
Him - "Well, you see, the part isn't here."
Me - "What do you mean? You told me yesterday it was."
Him - "Well we haven't ordered it yet."
Me - "First you tell me the part is here. Then your tech tells me it's in the assistant manager's car and it's his day off but that you worked it out and the part was going to be here by 5pm last night."
Him - "We'll we just ordered the part last night."
Me - "So why did you tell me it was here?"
Him - "Well I thought it had been ordered."
Me - "But you told me it was here, you had it in your hand."
Him - "Let's not talk about what happened in the past, I'm a problem solver and I don't look behind me."
Me - "Okay. What about the problem with you not calling me when you said you would? Why should should I have to chase you down?"
Him - "Again, that's in the past. We're here now, the part isn't here, it's been ordered and it should be here by Wednesday."
Me - "So why was I told by you the part was here. Then I show up and I'm told the part is in the assistant manager's car. Then I'm told to come back at 5pm. What would you have done if I had come back at 5?"
Him - "But you didn't so there isn't a problem. I don't know why you keep asking the same question."
Me - "Because you won't answer me."
Him - "Once again, I don't solve past problems, only present ones."
Me - "I can't believe this s**t."
Him - "Why do you have to be like that? My guy says he didn't break the part but I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and replacing it as a courtesy."
Me - "No one touched the car besides you guys."
Him - "I don't know that. I said we'd fix it, I don't see what the problem is."
Me - "The problem is for three weeks you've dropped the ball, everyone points the finger at someone else and the part never got ordered despite the fact you told me it was here. So now when is it going to be here?"
Him - "Wednesday."
Me - "What time Wednesday?"
Him - "Thursday."
Me - "Which one is it, Wednesday or Thursday?"
Him - "Maybe Wednesday but probably Thursday."
Me - "This is ridiculous. I'll see you Thursday."
Him - "Okay sir, you have a nice day."
The other frustrating part is I'm pretty sure they all had a good laugh about what an a**hole customer I was.

Worse Place Ever. Had my car in for an oil change and was told I need brakes desperately. I agreed and the service was rendered. Upon leaving the shop I noticed my steering wheel was shaking when I was stepping on the brakes. There was also a squeak when braking. Steer clear of this shop. I'd never go back there again.

I took my daughter's car for a break inspection expecting the worst. No breaks were necessary just needed some cleaning. Salvador assisted us and he was unbelievable courteous and honest. The service was excellent. Not only I will go back, I am referring anyone that I know to use their services. Not related to anyone there, just a very satisfied customer.

I was charged around $60 for an oil change. I don't know if this is normal, but I only used a synthetic blend. And my car only holds about 2.5 quarts. It was enough for me to not come back and change my own oil with full synthetic for only around $15.

PROS: convenient location
CONS: expensive
