Graduate Restaurant

This is one of the small family chain of restaurants that began down south (including San Luis Obispo, Stocton, and Davis) that targeted the college scene back in the late seventies. Now, this has evolved into a great family restaurant with really good food at reasonable prices. I mean, where else can you get a 2 inch thick cut of choice prime rib with all the fixin's for $12.00? I don't know of any place like that! They also have some of the most amazing ribs I have ever eaten. Their half rack is less than $10.00 and you will be dreaming of that barbeque sauce. They also just started serving this enormous appetizer sampler platter called the ANIMAL. This thing is served on an extra large pizza tray and it has huge servings of great appetizers like wings, chicken strips, calimari, mozzarella sticks, and things you can mix and match. This thing can be great for Happy Hour with a group of friends. Their staff is also really great. Quick service, or when slammed busy on the weekend, at least really amiable. Their management bends over backward to please customers by airing particular sporting events locals want to see, and by reserving large tables for big groups and events. I have loved taking children there because it is one big room where you can see every corner of that building, so if they are at the Air Hockey game table, you can stay at you table and enjoy your tasty, reasonable meal but not be worried about the elusive game room with tinted glass windows you can't see through. I have loved coming here for years, and it is always a good standby for any casual event.
