5 Stars: Awesome art scene! (by Henry M.)

I live a few blocks away absolutely love this place! Mama Buzz has a gallery on one side of the cafe--one time they had all of these really cool water color paintings and I actually bought one!! They rotate out the work of local artists so every few weeks you can catch something new and different. There are free refils on the coffee so you can go chilll in the garden, read, and hang out for a while and noone will bother you!

4 Stars: Cute coffee shop with a gallery space (by John D.)

pretty cool little coffee shop-- I just started college and stopped by last weekend while I was exploring downtown oakland. They have a gallery space in the coffee shop and there was a cool exhibit on from a local photographer while I was there. There are also a few galleries within a block or two of the cafe if you want to walk around and explore. I can recommend the delicious veggie quiche!

1 Stars: Coffee and service with an attitude (by Grace M.)

The only reason I would suggest this place to anyone is the coffee. The place has contributed to the gentrification of the neighborhood without contributing to the culture. If you like coffee, there's a Starbucks around th corner. If you like coffee and are a hipster, this is the place for you. The food's expensive and plain and the people behind the counter should quit and continue to live off their trust fund.
