Most honest mechanic shop I have ever been to. Wouldn't go anywhere else EVER. Work was done fast. Quote was less than half the dealership was trying to charge me. Ken, the owner even went over the dealerships quote and eliminated services that I didnt even need.
5BEST SERVICE
Thank you Universal Tires & Auto Service for your honest estimaite and fast work
I would recommend everybody ones to use they service to see difference between this shop and whatever they had before

I have been going to Ken for 3 years. He has my total trust. LIKE SO MANY OTHER FEMALES I have been abused by mechanics for my lack of mechanial knowledge. I wish I could tell all the GIRLS out there to give Ken their cars. They would never swich to anyone else. I can nearly garrantee his honesty. His mechanial skills are FAB. TO.

I've been using these guys for tires and suspension work for years. I'm a car freak...total gearhead! Restored 3 cars myself. Couldn't be happier with Ken and his people. BTW They do free tire rotations no matter where you bought your tires. Not the fanciest looking shop but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy better than Just Tires!!!!

These guys are around the block from my house. I've come in a couple times with a punctured tire (a nail in a tire). They've always hooked me up quickly and cheaply.
I went to them after suspecting that another mechanic was over-recommending repairs recently. They advised me that some of the suggested repairs were totally not needed. They also helped prioritize needed repairs based on how much I intended to drive my car (a Camry).
Recently the engine light came on and because they didn't have the computer to diagnose, they suggested another good mechanic down the way on La Cienega who also was patient and didn't try to take advantage.
Aside: I recently lost a key to a padlock on a storage trunk. I tossed it in my car and drove to these guys and asked if they could help. One of the mechanics ground it off in a few minutes and I practically had to force him to take $5.
Note: The receipt names them as "V&H Universal Inc." Same phone number as in this listing. They are on La Cienega (east side) just south of Pico.
PROS: Nice, Fair
CONS: May not have all the latest gadgets / computers
