Timeline Designs

I have done (OK, paid for) 6 home remodels, and nothing compares to the quality, professionalism and perfection of Timeline design. When it was time to remodel the kitchen in our Monte Sereno home, we spoke with three contractors who had come highly recommended, but decided to check out one more - Timeline. Best thing we ever did...None of the other folks really seemed to hear what my wife was saying, but Matthew Harrigan was completely different. He spent well more than an hour talking with us to get a handle on what features we liked, toured our house to get a sense of our aesthetic, talked with us some more, and then penciled out a design that NAILED IT. It could not have been more different from the other three designs, which basically face-lifted the old kitchen and ignored what my wife wanted. He picked up on her desire for a "great room", and our love of cooking & entertaining, noted our use of the redwood sauna to store multiple cases of wine, and designed a gourmet kitchen that flows gracefully into the step-down family room - which required removing a bearing wall & engineering a master beam system to handle the load. As well as re-routing all the plumbing from the BRs upstairs (which had traversed the wall between the kitchen & den), converting them to cast iron to muffle the sound. At the other end of the kitchen he heeded our somewhat subtly stated wishes and broke into that wall, turning a poorly used extra full BR & sauna into a terrific powder room, a wonderful butler's pantry, and a 1600 bottle wine room. With flowing design elements that connect all areas, meticulous and timely work, and a superb design sense, Matt and Timeline made this a relatively stress-free experience and gave use the kitchen/family area of our dreams. It's been 5 years, and we still love our kitchen (and Timeline) to death - so much that we went back to Matt for our master BR remodel, which exceeded our wildest dreams. Space limits my prose, but Timeline Design is the only design/build firm we will use in future. Matt has superb design sense, he listens to/perceives the clients desires, hires great project managers and craftspeople, does the work on time and in budget (according to plan), and stands behind his work. Highly recommended -- Simply the best!!!
