Crowded and slow. I didn't see any hurry to get us fed. You would think by now they would know lunch time is the busy time. 2x tooo slow for me.

When I was living in the Bay Area, I often visited this Pasta Pomodoro location, because of their friendly servers and comfortable seating in the outdoor area. My friends and I had a great time this last time I visited, the waiter was extremely nice and accommodating. Although if you visit on a weekday evening, you will mostly be surrounded by families with children. We were the only ones sitting outside that didn't have any kids at the table, it makes sense I guess since it is in a suburban area.

We went there as a family with 2 preschool aged, hungry kids. The wait person took the order who seated after us first, then took 30 minutes to bring our food, but none for kids. Later she explained that the kitchen lost our order, and she wouldn't apologize because it's kitchen's fault. Another 15 minutes later, kids were finally served. Very disorganized, unprofessional, with no customer service spirit.

Pasta pomodoro is good when you want predictable, "Americanized" Italian food that's better quality than Olive Garden or Macaroni Grille. The foccacia they serve when you sit down is horrible, ice cold, mealy -- don't judge the rest of the meal on that. I don't know why they bother. But the entrees are usually very good, only had one or two poor experiences in the many times I've been there. I like the Ravioli di Zucca.

Pasta Pomodoro, part of a chain, delivers the standards such as rigatoni, tortellini and tasty gnocchi plus surprisingly good fish specials, helping to make this Oakland location a real value. The wine list is simple yet adequate. Service…
