*** WARNING - DO NOT GO TO THIS REPAIR SHOP. I took my son's atv in for repair and they charged me over $300 to clean the carb and change the spark plug. They said the atv was running great after their repairs. When I brought the atv home I started the atv and it started to sputter upon full throttle. I brought the atv back to Moto Club and they charged me an additional $40 for an adjustment. I spent over $350 for a simple repair to an atv. I can't imagine what they would charge for a motorcycle. Do not go to this repair shop, unless you want to drop and load of cash ***

THE BAIT AND SWITCH , THE SMOKE SCREEN, THE FLIM-FLAME a frign nightmare - if there are any positive feedback in here, he put them in here himself - - i think he charged me about 200$ and hour for some basic repairs, had to wait for 6

I was looking for a bike and came across one on Craigslist that was on consignment at Moto Club. I dealt with Victor the whole time. He was amazing. Even though we had interstate issues he stuck with me and gave me as much support as I

I signed a consignment agreement with Victor to sell my motorcycle. Victor explained the consignment process clearly and concisely. He kept me posted and informed throughout the entire process and there were ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS once

I really like this shop! I worked with Vic on a bike he was selling for a friend and I feel like Vic went beyond expectations to help with the sale. Although his friend didn't budge on the price I feel like I got a great bike for a great

With the qualifications out of the way I can say that Moto Club is the only parts/service shop that I will go to or take my bike to. I purchased my first bike there recently and received excellent service. I have not had one interaction

Moto Club does honest work at lower than dealer prices. Being an independent motorcycle repair shop I try to do most of my business with companies like these. Victor is honest and he will work with you on any issue of repairs and prices.

My pops turned me on to MotoClub of Santa Monica. I was pleasantly surprised.
Best service I've ever had, frankly speaking.
They brought my baby back to Brand New after a car knocked it over and they did it fairly quickly and dealt with the State Farm for me.
Only one negative comment is that they seemed too busy when I was there. But everyone seemed happy.
Special thanks to Chelsea, Vic and Brad!
See you soon but not too soon!

What a GEM!! Long story short, if you're looking for a motorcycle shop with top notch service from people who actually care about your bike more than you do, don't hesitate. Brett, Vic, Chelsea and the other guy all kicked butt. I had my Multistrada and SXV serviced there at the same time.

as far as i know the service done is good. Victor is a non trustworthy guy. Almost had to take 2 court. do not BUY or sell your bike here. He will not respond to your calls and will ignore you, just a sweat talker in the beginning saying anything to have you buy his stuff. I Bought a bike from him that he promised was a clean title. found out later it was salvaged so he agreed to take it back. He didnt return money for a FEW MONTHS. Having me drive to the shop multiple times after promises of having the cash in hand, to find he would write me a check for a few hundred and promise more the next week. what really pissed me off was besides giving me the runaround. everytime i came in he knew my visit would only take 5 min for him to write the check and me to leave. he ignored me and serviced other customers while i would wait 40 plus minutes.

My girlfriend's ex goes to this place regularly and I guess because of that I ignored it. But for the past two years I've been getting jacked by other shops. So I decided to get an electrical problem fixed on my VFR 750. They told me I need a regulator and a stater and it was gonna cost hundreds. I just accepted that and was ready to pay up but then they told me I lucked out and didn't need a stater just a regulator. That saved me a bundle. They could have just did the whole thing and got more money but they put honesty before money. So I'm sticking with these guys no matter how many ex boyfriends of my girl go there.

Took my bike there for a small repair job, they called and told me that they needed an additional 2 hrs to 'repair' a cracked bolt thread. They were going to use JB Weld! I can JB Weld shit myself in 30 mins and only need a $4.95 package of the stuff. 2 hours my ass (an additional $160). I told them to stop working on it (finished half the job) and they still stuck me w/ the full estimate amount. How does that work? I paid $200 for them to take off a cover held on by 6 bolts...
In finding a solution, I took my bike to a local welding shop, he fixed it properly for $80 and was done the same day. Buyer beware of MotoClub di SM!

Moto Club is blocks from where I live in Santa Monica. I've gone in for Oil, plugs and small stuff. I once needed a bearing removed from a linkage which required a press, Moto club did it for me on the spot and didn't even charge me. So, when it came time for me to sell my precious Daytona 675 with 1300 miles, I could only think of one place to go.

Anyone who has a bike that is in mint condition and is worried about leaving it on consignment with a shop can be confident with Moto Club. They appreciated my custom and add-ons like true motorbike enthusiasts would and actually got a deal better than selling it on my own in 3 weeks! best part is I never had to do a thing. Victor called and told me to pick-up my money and I did. I will go there for all my parts, service and consignment from now on!

I signed a consignment agreement with Victor of MotoClub di Santa Monica to sell my 1999 Kawasaki Ninja. He told me he would have it sold within 2-3 weeks. About two weeks later Victor informed me that the bike had sold. I made arrangements to pickup my cash but an hour before I was supposed to meet him he told me he would feel more comfortable depositing the money into my checking account. Since the transaction was made through Paypal he wanted the money to clear his account before he handed the cash to me. Understandingly, I didn??t push the issue as he promised the money would be in my account within two days.
I went through three weeks of worrying if I would ever see the money. Victor lied to me saying that he had deposited the money in my account (to which he didn??t have the account number.) He stopped answering my calls and resorted to texting instead.
I didn??t see the money until I warned him that if I didn??t see the check in my mailbox with seven days that I would file a small claim with LA county court. He overnighted the check (which arrived on the seventh day!)
Oh, he also promised to send an additional $100 for all the trouble. I didn??t receive it with the initial payment. I emailed Victor a few days later to remind him of his promise. He replied on September 29th claiming it would be in the mail within a few days. Between that date and when I actually saw the check (October 20th) I left several messages on his cell. His mechanics do good word but DO NOT trust this guy with your money!

Coming into a place like MotoClub as a new motorcycle owner was a bit intimidating at first but it didn't last long. Everyone there was wonderfully helpful and willing to put up with all of my newbie questions. The service is prompt and very professional. All around the best experience I've had with any vehicle.

had to call 4 times to get my paperwork mailed to me for a bike that was on consignment. When I received the "package" it only contained the pink slip, not the paperwork I filled out and signed. Victor said it was lost. The pink slip was not even filled out by the registered owner. I had to track down the owner to complete the sale!!!!!!Ridiculous!!! Attempted to call Victor but he has yet to return my call. I've purchased bikes from private parties much easier than this, and he was paid to sell this.

First off I'd like to say going to Motoclub is 100000000% BETTER than going to your local dealership when it comes to repairs and parts. The Owner of the store Victor makes you feel like a friend rather than someone who's trying to dig deep in your pocket. Friendly Staff, Service is quick and precise. Best of all... they Don't try ripping you off by making unnecessary repairs or pushing you to buy this or that. They get to know what kind of rider you are and what your looking to accomplish. Victor is a good guy with good intentions. He occasionally invites me to go to the track with "motoclub" for trackdayz. Motoclub is the place to go whether you're looking to purchase some after market parts, oem parts, or even get repair work done. They are fast reliable and honest. I guarantee you won't have a bad experience with them.

Female rider, here. I grew up in Oregon and road bikes for six years before I moved to L.A. Here I had a 5 year break from riding and just a month ago invested in a bike again in order to tackle the rising cost of gasoline. Long story short...I've been into Moto Club 6 or 7 times, the first time to buy a new front tire, second time to replace my battery...and all others to ask questions about my new bike and the way it worked as well as questions about riding in L.A. I felt totally taken care of and encouraged as a 'born again virgin' rider by the staff at the shop without a hint of anything condescending (which can be a factor for a female rider). And, I felt that they genuinely cared about my safety and the safety of my bike. Thank you!

I had some problems with my Vespa, it was leaking fuel. They immediately knew what was going on and in half an hour later my scooter was fixed for a very good price.
The guys were really friendly , I will certainly go back if there is something wrong with my scooter!

I've been riding for many years and I've have had a lot of bad experiences with motorcycle shops. Several months ago I bought a new bike and took it in to these guys when it started overheating. I assumed it was a fan problem so I gave them my credit card to order a new fan. I got a call a couple hours later (which was a lot faster than expected). Their mechanic told me he had found a way to fix it without replacing the fan (which probably saved me hundreds of dollars). They only charged me a small fee for the diagnostic. They also topped off all my fluids and fixed a broken light without being asked to do so, and without charging me.

They are always friendly and professional, and they go out of their way to do MORE than they are expected to do. I never use to trust mechanics, so every time I would get my bikes back from a shop, I'd pull over and check every bolt and plug to make sure nothing was loose. Now I don't even worry about it. I recently started club racing, and I have these guys do all the work on my race bike. When it back I take it straight out on my warm-up lap without a second thought. I wont ever let anyone else near it.

Very pleased with the knowledge and service over at MotoClub! So much that I drive almost 40 miles to get all my parts and service done when I have a place I could go to 5 minutes from my house. The prices are UNBEATABLE! And as far as parts, if it's not in stock, they can have it for me within 1-2 days! Victor and his staff are very professional and are definitely all about customer service. They even have BBQ's on Sundays when there's a MotoGP race, tons of food and drinks, my wife and I have attended several and look forward to more in the future! Definitely a place worth checking out, you won't be disappointed!

these guys are all really nice and helpful and the shop has an easy, neighborhood vibe. if they don't have what you need they'll order it and get it in a day or two. i don't know what the story was with this place before the change of ownership but i have never had a problem. definately worth checking it out.

I'm not a bike expert. In fact, I'm a novice... and I'm a girl. But I am picky about where I shop for my bike and auto stuff. This place is not only a great place to shop for gear because of their selection - actual stuff for girls, and lots of cool gear for guys, used bikes galore, and a service department - but also because if they don't have it, they can get it in a matter of days. They carry my favorite brands- ICON and ALPINE STARS too. But... the real reason I was struck to write a review is because most recently, I special ordered new mirrors for my bike. When they came in (which was almost overnight) - they didn't fit. That was my bad. However, Victor, owner of the shop, came up with a custom solution with his service team to help fit the new mirrors beautifully. I know that a set of custom fit mirrors might not make you have the fireworks I've got over it, but I'm ecstatic because I now know where to go if I need anything, large OR small. With the friendly, fast, and very on-the-fly-custom service I recieved that day, I'm happy to recommend them to anyone. Oh yeah... and I haven't been in there to actually enjoy them, but I've heard that they have track day parties with food and such on live race days.

I travel to LA from the UK on a regular basis and stumbled across Hammy Boys/Pacific Coast for the first time this May. I thought the staff were top notch and very helpful. The young lady behind the counter went to great lengths to ensure that the jacket I wanted was ordered and delivered before I had to catch my flight back to the UK and the top man at the store even agreed to a small discount on the item which was a nice touch. There were a number of regular customers in the shop knocking back some sushi who were equally friendly and offered advice on the fit of the jacket etc. All in all it was a great experience and although I have no idea what the store was like prior to October, I can assure you that Victor has been good to his word and is now offering a great service at competitive prices. I wouldn't normally post a review on a site like this but I know what it's like to run your own business and understand that bad reports spread much faster than good ones. I can see the enthusiasm Victor has to building the reputation of his business and wish him and his staff all the best. Keep up the good work Victor and I'll see you guys again when I'm next in town.

To "tamaslobo", "motoguy" and any one else who has walked through the doors of Hammy Boys Motosports before October 16th, 2006 and did NOT walk out COMPLETELY SATISFIED, I understand how you feel. I was a customer of Hammy Boys many times over the years and witnessed, first hand, the deterioration of the service.

With that said, you should know that I now own that place and I'm changing EVERYTHING! It's basically a brand new business. For one, I will be there everyday to make sure not a single customer leaves unsatisfied. Not one. And within just a few weeks, we will be fully staffed with a group of professionals that fully understand and value the concept of "Customer Service"! I will make sure of it and will not settle for anything less than the best.

By the end of the year, what was Hammy Boys Motosports will be non existent and will be replaced by a brand new shop called "Pacific Coast Motorcycles".

See, the problem that plagued Hammy Boys for years was that the owner was NEVER there. If the owner of a small business does not care, why would any employee? It's a trickle-down effect that ultimately hits the customer. Let's call this Problem #1 and as of October 16th, 2006, Problem #1 has been totally handled!

So in conlusoin, to anyone who has walked into Hammy Boys and did not walk out feeling like A MILLION DOLLARS...consider coming back in and giving the new owner (and new staff) another chance. I guarantee, you will notice a positive difference immediately!

=)
