Great food and great prices. I love the Chicken Shwarma plate and sandwiches.

This is strictly a takeout place (a few plastic tables & chairs) in a mini-mall @ the corner of Colfax & Ventura. They make the best hummus I've ever tasted, wonderful tabouli, smoked eggplant salad... Order the combo plates & you'll get a choice a 3 salads (there are at least 6 to choose from, including the world class hummus). The schwarma is okay (it can be a bit dry), falafel is better, as is grilled chicken.

This is an Israeli owned place so they don't have lamb, shishkebab or other middle eastern dishes (that you'd find at Cedar House in North Hollywood)... but the place is very clean, takeout is ready fast, & if tiny Amir is there, friendly service, if he's not, some of the Israeli girls have attitudes.

By far the best falafel and shwarma sandwich I've had outside of Israel. The shwarma isn't that fake looking meat you often see at these type of places, but a juicy round of meat and the falafel is made fresh to order. The accoutrements

Pros: Food, Price

Cons: Parking

I challenge you to find a better falafel or shwarma anywhere this side of the middle east. Whether you get the plate or sandwich, you will not be disappointed. Not much in the way of decor or ambiance, but the food more than makes up for
