My husband and I recently came here for our annivesary. I had the beef cheeks and my husband had the sea bass. The beef cheeks were so tender and the sauce was heavenly, my husband loved the texture of the cracker crust of his sea bass; we then went on to dessert. We shared a tiramisu, the cake part was wonderful but icing/cream was real dense. The miniscule menu selection and tiramisu needs work but everything else was excellent-from the food,the view and our waiter Sumatye was wonderful! We will be back!

This is one of the finest restaurants in all of Los Angeles, something one would never expect at the pier in Redondo Beach. It was equal to anything I've encountered in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood or Santa Monica. The food was exquisite in both taste and presentation. The wait staff and manager were polite, efficient and especially knowledgeable as to their food and preparation. After reading some of the reviews on here, we almost cancelled our reservation. The fact of the matter is this restaurant had it's grand opening in the beginning of May 2009, and yet if one looks they'll see reviews far prior to that date. Sadly this reviewing system ties addresses to locations, and not the current restaurant. The majority of the reviews pertain to the former restaurant at that same location. Nothing of this current restaurant reflects the previous business there, beyond address. Do yourself a HUGE favor and try their superlative fare, you'll be truly delighted. That you dine over the water with picture perfect views, just adds to the already extensive list of pluses Maison Riz has to offer you.

I paid $22.00 for approx 4-5 oz. of Chilean Sea Bass and 2 cheese bisquits. Nothing else! I then I received my Spicy Tuna Crisp appitizer, 12-15 min. after I was done with my "dinner"! To their credit, my appit. was taken off my bill. I paid the bill, with tip(Not waitresses fault), and started to leave, and thought I'd like to express myself to the manager. Made manager appearance request. 7-8min. of standing around like a dummy was too much for me, and I left. Never going back. Save your time and money!

This is a great place to eat seafood at. The fish is always fresh and the waiters are very polite and friendly. I have only eaten here once, but I would recommend to anyone to eat here.

My name is Rocio Diaz, and along with my family planned to have an early Mother?s Day dinner on May 3, 2008 at Old Tony?s at The Pier? We decided on this place because my in-laws have always mentioned great the food was there... We were promptly seated and everything went down hill from there!!! Our food was terrible and the way the "manager" yelled at us when we made a comment was so unprofessional. I would NEVER-EVER go this place again!!! I have been in this industry and well aware that a customer enjoys great food as well as service, this place has neither!!!!!!

I took my wife to Tony's for her birthday last Saturday night. After being in the restaurant management business for the last 25 years, I would rate the experience as an A+. The fish was fresh, service was excellent and the ocean view can't be beat. I just read the review about the bad stuffed shrimp. My wife ordered it and I know fake Krab from real crab and this was the real crab and there was mound of it on a large shrimp cooked to perfection. The house salad was a mixture of iceberg, romaine, carrots and cabbage with bay shrimp and hard boiled egg with a creamy italian dressing, I had the Swordfish, excellent dish and we split the special calamari in a garlic and olive oil sauce. Friendly service and great attitudes, excellent food, fantastic ambiance. Overall a great experience

I wish I could comment on the food at this restaurant but I didn't even get a chance to sample it. We sat in a half empty restaurant, only to be ignored by the waiters. We witnessed 2 waiters going back and forth, leaving us to wonder which one was ours. I would never advise anyone to go there, unless you want to be ignored the entire time and not actually eat! Do not go there when you're hungry or expect at least adequate service. Its not kid friendly or even human friendly.

Tony's Smoked Salmon Chowder is worth the drive there alone. When I'm lucky enough to get a window table I open the door and let the fresh sea air in, along with the sound of the waves. The food is always delicious.

Tony's Fish Market is one of the oldest restaurants in Redondo. The "old" restaurant is still at the original place...the middle of the pier with the "lighthouse" rooftoop. The "new" restaurant is larger, with a better view of Redondo Beach. I always start my meals here with an appetizer or two that's shared with my friends. The crab louie salad is wonderful...and the crab is REAL...not simulated. The fried scallops are not rubbery, like you are often made to suffer through at other places. The staff is usually attentive and friendly without being obnoxious or intrusive. If you're lucky and get a window seat, don't be intimidated by the seagulls that come begging.
