This friendly, family owned bakery has some of the best pan dulce in L.A. They use good ingredients and traditional recipes which make it taste so much better than the cheap bread they sell at the supermarket. I like having one of their conchas or cuernitos with my coffee in the morning and I really love their guayaba flavored pan de muerto!

So ok. My family is a very french-bread eating family . No tortillas in my house; in my house you get some French bread and at night, French pastries (aka pan dulce - Mexico and France acctually went to war over the pastries and the French the French Mexicans to keep it French, and they did and thank God because I love my conchas) So anyways I know my bread and my breads history!!!! This place has REALLY GOOD BREAD! It is no wondert that the French went to war over it!!! I've had some good bread at places and sometimes very over priced. This bread just beats them all it tastes amazing and the price is very reasonable and what you would expect at a bakery, but with a 5 start TASTE ! Very good! You can smell the delicious bread even driving by or a block away if you're walking. EAT HERE IT'S GOOD !

Whenever I crave delicious Mexican bread and pastries I head across one of the many Los Angeles bridges into Boyle Heights. Lucy's Bakery is my favorite place to satisfy my sweet tooth. I am always greeted with a smile from the staff at this friendly mom and pop owned bakery. They have been in business since the 1960's and are a staple amongst the neighborhood locals who have come to this bakery for over 40 years. Try the conchas or the delicious cuernitos. Their bolillos (French rolls) are excellent. They also make their own cheesecake that you can buy by the slice! Their bread is incredibly affordable and very high quality. It??s sad that big supermarkets are moving in and sell you the worst quality bread, but their prices reflect the quality. Lucy??s also caters. I have gone to them whenever I need sweet bread for conference or events I am a part of. I love this place! Support local neighborhood treasures like this one.

Great family owned bakery in Boyle Heights, East LA. Friendly staff, great bread, great prices! My faves are their conchas de chocolate , pan de muerto (they take orders) and roscas de reyes, or their homemade cheesecake. Order your bread today and help this family owned business!

Lucy's Bakery is sells Mexican baked goods like breads and pastries. I discovered them one day on my way home from work and decided to try them out. I have been going back ever since whenever I have a craving for their Mexican pastries. The staff are friendly and can help you make a selection. They accept cash payments only.
