This place is a great place for a romantic date, the desserts are AMAZING! But that's where the greatness ends. Advice: Do Not order dinner! Wayyyy over price for raw food that you have to cook YOURSELF. Dipping fruit and cake in chocolate

We brought a group of friends here because it sounded like a fun place. The waiter took orders very quickly, pushing everyone toward the biggest and most expensive options, without explanation, in spite of our asking for smaller portions. There was a lot of food and we paid very dearly for it. Hundreds of dollars for way too much food that wasn't that great. Very disappointed and I'll never go back.

RATS have been spotted on multiple occasions, contaminating food. However management and owners rather hide the problem than deal with it and nothing is being done to get rid of them. Where is the health department inspectors when you need them?

This place has a serious RAT infestation, even worse the imcompetent administrators would rather ignore the problem and hide it than to try to fix it. Health inspectors where are you?

We had never tried fondue like this before. The moment we stepped into this location we were pleasantly surprised since it is in a strip type mall (not an ugly mall) but you would never guess the inside was so romantic and nice. It is a perfect place for a date, or any special occasion, and BOTH young and old couples or singles alike will find this a fun, unique and romantic experience. My husband and I were feeding each other, and forgot about everyone around us. We loved the fact that it has booths, and the service for us was prompt, professional and we never felt neglected. If you want to try something new and different then try this place. In our personal experience the food was great and we are regulars now. ENJOY!

I've been to the Melting Pot a few times and I must say the dark chocolate fondue is the best of the best. But I must agree with Christy S., their food is lacking in creativity and is overly priced. All in all, if you've never had fondue, the Melting Pot is a nice place to start off but it's definitely not a place I would be going back to again and again.

I went with my husband to preview this restaurant as a possible unique experience for our daugher's 25th birthday party. Having heard mixed reviews, positive ones coming mostly from our kids friends in the twenty-something age bracket, we thought we should check it out before hosting a party there for twelve or more guests. We made reservations on a Wed. night, they only had an 8:30pm or a 10:30pm available, I thought they must be exceptionally good, to be so busy mid-week. We arrived right on time, surprisingly, but were told that they were waiting for the previous reservation to exit our table. We were also informed that this was a special evening called "girls night out" so the restaurant was crowded. We waited a little over a half hour before being shown to our table. The manager came by and was very apologetic and graciously offered to comp our first round. The booth was "L" shaped and quite small, depending upon where you draw the line between intimate and cramped. The table top reminded me of industrial flooring material and the rectangular metal surrounding the burner took up about a third of the table top. I would mention that this gets extremely hot and would pose a possible safety hazard if you plan to bring children. It, along with the pot of boiling liquid and plates of uncooked meat and seafood on the table do not exactly spell "family friendly" fun. The first course was the cheese fondue served with bread cubes, apple wedges, and unimaginative raw vegis. The cheese sauce was recommended by our server, but I found it to be terribly salty after the addition of sherry, shallots, scallions and pepper. The most unappetizing part of the meal for me, aside from the plate of uncooked meats and chicken, was that the entire meal was presented with pewter dishware to eat from. On the upside, if your on a date and worried that you might have a lull in the conversation, it presents an interactive experience in a dimly lit atmosphere with most of the booths being quite secluded and the drinks aren't bad. On the other hand, if you're over 40 and can remember fondue, you probably won't be quite as easily impressed with this (frankly overpriced) novelty restaurant.

This dining experience is great. Fonduing through your meal is a casual unique way to spend some time with friends or family. The kids love it! The entre isn't all that great. It kind of all tastes the same from the fondu. BUT the appetizers and desserts are to die for. I would just order those with a salad and skip the rest. Definitely pricey but worth it.

For Christmas my girlfirends and I decided to meet here for some fondu and drinks. It was a little pricy but the dessert is to die for you can order fruit and dip it in chocolate, they offer cakes as well but i suggest getting only the fruit. Then the cheese fondus are amazing. I want to go back sometime really soon!

this is the only location i have been to. (although they have opened one in pasadena which i am very excited about). they have amazing fondu, their martinis are great!. if you get there for happy hour, there are some pretty good deals to take advantage of. also, monday is industry night, so if you work at a restaurant, you get an extra discount- make sure you bring your paystub. the whole meal is kinda a lot to eat. i went my girl friends last night. i recommend a raspberry lemondrop martini, the spinach artichoke cheese fondu, and white chocolate peanut butter fondu for desert! the atmosphere is so fun! you could definately have a romantic date there (ask for the curtained room!) this place is highly recommended!

This was the best fondue I have ever had. Great service, waiter was great, easy parking for free in garage and valet available. Very nice set up inside and fondue is out of this world, served with bread, veggies and fruit to dip. Prices are reasonable with fondue for 2 at $14 and chocolate fondue was amazing as well, with many treats to dip like cheescake, cookies, brownies, etc. Highly recommend to anyone who has never had fondue.

This franchise specializing in fondue is intriguing. The dimly lit atmosphere, the great smell, and the young crowd are noticeable immediately. The next treat is the food. Starting with the cheese fondue and ending with the chocolate fondue, the food is very good. The options on the menu are diverse (for fondue) and flavors are interesting and well done. I consider this one of the few franchised restaurants that I would take a date too. Its wonderful to know I can now have fondue at a moments notice without the planning or clean up of doing it at home!

Another interesting note, on Mondays the Irvine location has a 20% discount on their entire menu for people working in the service industry.
