I tried this as recommended by my guide. It was comfortable and nicely decorated. The food was great not halal but you can get vegetarian dishes or ask them to substitute the meat with a vegetable. It was great value for money too.

If you know what Chajang Myun (Korean Spaghetti) is, this is the place to get it. Hand-made noodles, great sauce, and they'll take the meat out for vegetarians.

PROS: Great Chajang Myun!
CONS: Sauce splattered all over the walls - maybe a good thing?

I went on a lark after friends were scared off by a "C" health board rating. On the recommendation of a Jonathan Gold review, I tried the chachiang mein. The hand-pulled noodles were good, and the black bean sauce was terrific. While I ate, a man across the room sat at a table and ladled the bean sauce from a vat into plastic bags. Customers can buy the bags of sauce to go. I bought two. Why the "C" rating? The bathroom. It was a mess. But I peeked in the kitchen; it looked clean.

Pros: food

Cons: ambience

I read a Jonathan Gold restaurant review of this Koreatown eatery and decided to try it for the hand-pulled noodles. Unfortunately upon arriving, the front door displayed a "C" rating. I decided not to eat there until their letter grade improved, so read my food rating with a, uh, grain of salt.

Pros: noodles (apparently)

Cons: few parking spots
