This is my favorite place. All of the staff is wonderful, you feel as if you are family. The food is perfection. Drinks are very good, desserts are amazing, and I have never had anything I didn't love. Something for everyone. Non of

This place has wonderful food, like the Pasta Pro Bono, but it is more on the expensive side. The Tahitian Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee they had once as a special was the best I had ever had and I love creme brulee. The atmosphere here is nice with a more professional crowd. The food is worth it, but definitely is more for special occasions because of the price.

Cafe Pro Bono is always a delightful experience & I couldn't recommend it more highly. The food is excellent, and relatively ecclectic for an Italian place (it's not just pasta or pizza - tasty starters include pollenta and mushrooms, various soups, or a great spinach salad). The decor is just lovely, there's a full bar, and there's even a little bit of outdoor seating, where they will allow animals.
The best thing about Cafe Pro Bono, though, is definitely the service. The waiters and waitresses are consistently exceptional, and the manager is not satisfied unless everything about your dining experience is abolutely as you desire.
FYI, it's really cute during winter, when they put up a little tree and Christmas lights...

Good place if you're a lawyer and someone else is picking up the tab. I don't like this place because, while the food is good enough, the price is ridiculous. They also tend to pack you in during the lunch hour. Avoid the middle tables, unless you don't mind being bumped. And yes, it's one of the closer restaurants to the court house, no convicts, lots of suits.

cafe Pro Bono's comfortable room just off the California Avenue shopping district, recalls the Italian-American restaurants present before Palo Alto's recent restaurant boom. Without earth tones, trendy sconces or frivolous flower bursts,…
