Boodaghians Violet MD

I am in my late 50's and about a year ago, I started experiencing different symptoms of headache, lack of energy, fatigue, almost lost my speech ability. Was seen by all kinds of specialists, had tests done by a neurologist , but no one could figure out what was going on. When it wast time for my annual exam, I called and went in to see Dr. Boodaghians. As always she reviews all my medications, and history, when I told her about all the symptoms I was having she ordered series of blood work checking my hormones. According to the results she prescribed some natural compounded hormones for me. It has been few months now that I have been on these hormones, and I have felt better than ever. All the issues that I was having was related to my hormones and nobody ever bothered to ck. I am great full to this doctor for the rest of my life for rescuing me from the verge of madness.

I do not think that there is another doctor more knowledgeable in women;s health care than this lady. She does not only listen to you, SHE HEARS YOU OUT. I had many gyn issues that was not solved by my other doctors. She figured out what was wrong with me and took care of me. She is kind and her bed side manner is out of this world. She talks to you not talking down to you. Her office staff is great. I did not have insurance and her office manager worked with me so I could pay off my bill. Thank you God for putting Dr. Boodaghians on my path.

I had heard about this doctor through one of my friends. I was trying to get pregnant for some time and due to family history of Breast cancer was reluctant to do IVF. I decided to make an appointment and went in to see her. I was amazed by her caring, loving , gentle touch. She did not judge me because I was old or did not tell me to go have IVF. She simply examined me, did series of blood work, reviewed the timing of my ovulation, ordered ultrasound which came back with an endometrial polyp. Based on my other results, she thought it would be beneficial if I had the polyp removed, which I did in an out patient setting. She prescribed Clomid for 3 cycles, I started trying after my surgery, took the Clomid and got pregnant. I was considered high risk but she took care of me and now I have a beautiful baby girl who is about 18 months old. Next she has to take care of my hotflashes!!!

Go see her. It would be the greatest thing you have done for yourself.

I was a new patient of this doctor. I found her through my insurance and was reluctant to go see her at first since she was not recommended by any of my friends, but I was desperate. I had chronic infection which would not go away. I had seen top notch doctors in Beverly Hills who had just brushed me off with some anti yeast medication. When this doctor saw me, after listening to me and examining me, she ordered a pelvic ultrasound, the findings showed a mass on my left ovary. She run some more tests, and blood work and scheduled me for surgery. The mas was malignant, but in early stages. It has been few months after my surgery now, I am doing great and in debt to this wonderful doctor who took the time to hear me out. Love her and her staff.

I have known this doctor and her staff for some years. She is one of the greatest doctors and human being I have met. She always listens to me and is not eager to jump to drastic measures. She has delivered my child, and has continuously been on top of my health issues. Her staff is very kind, professional and I love the office. I can not wait to come up with an excuse to go visit them. You can not go wrong with this office and this great doctor.

Dr.Violet Boodaghians is a caring, kind, very knowledgeable in women's health issues and a kind of Dr. whom you can totally trust.I have known her for more than seven years. Not only she delivered my two children, she also did my surgery recently.I don't forget she was holding my hand during anesthesia when they were putting me sleep.She is a skillful surgeon too. I did very well afterwards.There is some waiting in the office and you have to find meter parking.

Dr. Boodaghians is kind, gentle and caring as a person and as a doctor. I was a prime candidate for a cesarean and thanks to her, who waited 30 hours and gave me all kids of encouragement, I had a 9 pound baby naturally with no complications. She recommended a fabulous doula. She also protected me when I went to a specialist who wanted me to be scared about my second baby's health. She took over and gave me peace.

I when to Boodaghians and ended up switching to a new doctor at 35 weeks. I couldn't let this lady deliver my baby.

She was also extremely rude and condescending to my husband when hw asked her to explain when she felt I needed a c section. The doctor had decided I needed one at about 7 months based on nothing other than the baby was a little large.

My husband looked up some info on the internet about large babies and the doctor seemed extremely defensive and insulted that we asked here to explain her position. It was more like she COULDN'T explain it. All she could say was that she was na artist and if we wanted our baby to get stuck and die. UNBELIEVABLE that a medical doctor would say something like this. She also wrote down wrod for word what my husband found in his research to cover her ass in case of a lawsuit. She seemed really concerned about her medical insurance. In fact, that was really the only thing she could come up with as to explain her decision.

She ended our 10 minute appointment by stating that she had other patients and couldn't spend all day with us. I was flabergasted. Of course we couldn't let this lady deliver our baby.

We ended up going with Jay Goldberg and were very happy with him.

The other thing I will say about this office is that in the 7 plus months I had gone to this office, the doctor never had to reschedule an appointment or have someone fill in for her due to her delivering a baby. This leads me to believe that she mostly does c sections.

Also, her office personnel were not very friendly. Specifically the nurse. Extremely awkward dealing with this woman.

I cannot express how disappointed I am in the treatment received by Dr Boodaghians. Although this Doctor was recommended, I am shocked by the lack of professionalism and disorganization displayed. During each visit the Doctor was unprepared for my appointments - she seemed almost confused and I had to constantly remind the Doctor of why I was there - my confidence decreased with each visit.

This clearly is an issue as I heard another patient discuss with the front desk their frustration over being misinformed and that the office was not clean. The final straw was in how Dr Boodaghians treated my husband specifically when he had questions - she was rude, refused to answer the basic statistics on the risk of amnios and told us to look it up.

My husband and I are very easy going people and I have never taken the time to write a negative review, but it is so important to make people aware of the experience that we received.

We often put blind faith in Doctors which means that we put up with more than we should - but continuing with Dr Boodaghians would have been reckless and I am very happy to have changed Doctors.

Dr. Boodaghians has a very holistic, caring, gentle and thorough approach. I had both my daughters with Dr. Boodaghians and the youngest is now 8 years old. You never feel rushed when you see her. I drive over two hours each way to see her for my twice yearly exams. As long as Dr. Boodaghians continues to practice, I would drive from anywhere to continue with her. She is that special.

Also - unless you asked, you wouldn't know that Dr. Boodaghians is the former president of the Los Angeles chapter of the American Womens Medical Association (AWMA). She also spearheaded a foundation which provides breast and pap smears to underserved women without medical insurance throughout greater Los Angeles area.

You can't ask for a better OB/GYN than Dr. Boodaghians. I've been her patient for almost five years and never dread going to see her. Her office is conveniently located, and her staff is friendly and discreet. She has a lot of patients (I think over 2000), but she always remembers me, considering I only see her twice a year on average. There's been a couple of times I've been to see her when she's been up all night delivering a baby and you would never know it for her cheerful attitude. She is very skilled in making you feel comfortable during exams, and makes sure all your questions are answered during your visit. She is non-judgemental and offers advice that I know I can trust. I look forward to the day she delivers my first baby.

Dr. Boodagian is a great doctor and is located in a very great area. She is very through and is concerned with your overall health, not just OB/GYN. I live in Houston and fly to see her once a year, that's how good she is!

PROS: Caring, intelligent Physician
CONS: parking garage is expensive and she can run 15 minutes behind
