I went to this place with my boyfriend after a long day at the beach. I have to say the columns in this restaurant along with the marble, and paintings on the wall took me to another world. As for the food, I went with what I know, which

Great food, great entertainment! Not a super authentic middle eastern restaurant, but you go for the show just as much as for the food! Great date night spot!

The food here is great and the atmosphere is also very lively. There is typically a live band and even dancers during dinner. However, if you are looking for a quiet place to eat, this may not be the best choice for a conversation. Also, the dishes are a bit pricey but again it is tasty!

This is a great family restaurant to entertain guests or a night out with a family, even a romantic dinner for two.. My family and i have been coming to caspian for years now and always have had a great experience.

try the crispy rice with the different stews for a starter and I recommend the Soltani a good portion of food and very delicious.

Something has happened to this restaurant. Don't know if it's the new management, but the quality has gone down the drain. For the first few weeks of the NEW buffet, it had some good Persian dishes, after that the quality of the food decreased and today it had almost nothing good, much less Persian food. The price they are charging is too high for the food they are serving at the buffet. Another thing, if you are with a group of people that want to eat from the buffet, according to the "new rules", you are not able to order from a menu and remain with the group, you will be moved to a different area of the restaurant where you can order from the menu. What is wrong with this people? They are not customer oriented in any way. I asked to speak to the owner and he told me that those were the rules and if I wanted to eat in his restaurant that I had to follow them. He told me that as a favor to me, he would allow me to order from the menu only for today, but the next time, I should be sitting by myself in another part of the restaurant where I could order from the menu. I was shocked and decided not to eat there and will not be going there any more. I had some VIPs with me from my company and it was an embarrassing experience to say the least. We have recommended this restaurant to many of our people at our company and always take big groups there. Well, that is not going to happen again unless this management gets its act together. I guess they don't need any more customers.... There are much better Persian restaurants where we can enjoy good food and excellent service, this is not one of them. I would not recommend to go there until they change the rules and get on with the program. I don't think that they realize how important "word of mouth" is, and for the owner to behave so unprofessional.... forget about it. It is too bad because the food from the menu is still good, but with this behavior, it leaves one with a bad taste in one's mouth.

Pros: Food from the menu is still good, the waiters are customer service oriented, the owner is not

Cons: Food from the buffet is of very low quality and too expensive for what they serve. Almost no Persian food included in the buffet.

I went to this restaurant on a Friday night with two of my friends. It was really crowded and it took us like 20 minutes to be seated so I recommend you to reserve your place before going there especially on Fridays and Saturdays.
The food was great with large large portions. You never ever can finish one portion in one turn so the best suggestion is to share the food.
The belly dancing really dazzeled me, I had not seen such a thing even in arabic countries.
The entertainment and the singer were not the best but talarable for the money you pay and entertainment you receive during your dinner.
Highly recommended.

The food here is delicious. I usually order one of the fish dishes which are accompanied by perfectly steamed basmati rice. I also enjoy the fresh bread baked right on the premises. They will give you a paper bag full of it right from the oven on your way out if you like.

When the sun goes down the belly dancers come out. They are exquisite, each one like a sparkling jewel and totally professional.

It is always a wonderful dining experience.

I went to this restaurant for a friend's birthday and had a really good time. The food portions were more than fair for the money being charged and the menu was all healthy, good fats, proteins and carbs kinds of eats. This particular Friday night was filled with live entertainment including a really talented orchestra/band that played a nice variety of Jazz and latin tunes and later, live belly dancing ladies. It was a nice dimly lit atmosphere with lots and lots of tables and comfy chairs. Our waiter was patient with all our questions about the menu and very attentive for both drinks and food to arrive prompty and accurately. The food itself was not greasy, overly spicy or cold. It was delicious, simple and plentiful. Most importantly however, it was probably under priced compared to other restaurants. I enjoyed the hummus with crispy onions, the fresh cracker/bread we were given and sampling my friends walnut fig and rice dish, suprisingly delicious! I'd go again in a second! Wish it was closer to my house!

Pros: Great quality of food to cost ratio and clean setting.

Cons: Kind of dim and dancing girls a little non conducive to conversation with friends, at least while they were dancing.

This has always been one of my favorite restaraunts. I think you have to know what to order or find something you really like and stick with it. I have not tried a lot of things on the menu but the chicken barq is my favorite.

Beautiful surroundings, great ambiance, very clean (cleanliness is most important to me), great dishes, food was excellent in every way and really delicious, better tasting than anywhere I have ever tried Middle Eastern Food. Service was very courteous and fast. Prices were more reasonable than other restaurants I had tried. I will definity recommend it to everyone who wants authentic Middle Eastern food. I will be celebrating my birthday at Caspian Restaurant.

One night (around 11pm), me and my friends decided to go to Denny's because we were hungry. As we were able to park, one of my friends commented that we should go to Caspian (which is pretty much 500 or so feet away). I jumped at the chance since I had never been there.

I walked inside to be stunned.

It had the ambiance of a French restaurant. The only difference is that the people working there were Persian. I felt really weird because me and my friends were asian and EVERYBODY was either Middle Eastern (75% or so) or White (25% or so).

To top that off, I was wearing shorts and sandals and everyone else was dressed up in very nice clothing, dresses and collared shirts. However, they didn't turn me and my friends away at the door so we sat down.

We were taken to a huge dimly lit room and there was a Persian woman up on the stage singing upbeat music. Free entertainment along with the meal. Nice. I noticed people started getting up and dancing because there was a dance floor. It was quite an experience.

I ended up ordering the Shish Kabobs. They were filet mignon. Yes, Filet Mignon Shish Kabobs. I'm sorry people, I was hungry and not thinking straight. This dish was $20.99. My wallet cries at night because of this.

After a medium lengthed wait, it came. And wow. It was absolutely delicious. The vegetables were grilled perfectly and the filet mignon was a nice texture (although I prefer medium rare beef... i should've requested it). The other half of the plate was Balsmatic Rice (sp?) It was fluffy, but not really to my taste because I'm used to Japanese rice that's more sticky in consistency.

The people there are quite nice because they didn't get mad when I asked them for chopsticks, instead they actually explained to me how to eat the food correctly. I was only messing around about the chopsticks, but at other restaurants they probably would've given me a look instead of a friendly laugh.

PROS: Excellent food. High quality in every aspect. Great atmosphere.
CONS: I'm a college student. I can only afford to eat here once a decade.

What a pleasant surprise to find in central OC! The food was fabulous in a palatial environment and the weekend night entertainment was top of the line!!! From incredible dancers to musicians and singers to the pulsing dance floor - it was great for all ages. I'm planning to take both my Mom and my 5 year old next time.
