Starter on my car gave out. Called Vernola's Towing to get my car towed back to my house from work. They quoted me a great price; about $50 cheaper than the other local tow companies in the area I contacted. I was a little skeptical

A customer of ours was in an accident in Santa Fe Springs. This company showed up on scene immediately and the police were called. We were on our way from Fontana, but since it would be 50 mins before we arrived and the police needed the street cleared, Vernola's towed the tractor and trailer down the street to their yard.

Upon my driver's arrival (we are also a tow company), I was informed that there were issues with them releasing the truck. I called my customer who informed me that Vernola's would not fax or email him an invoice, so he could not pay the bill. Thinking that was strange, I called over to Vernola's myself and tried to retrieve the invoice so that my customer could pay their bill. I was informed by the very rude lady on the phone that she WOULD NOT give us any copy of the invoice before we paid. She said the reason was that we could possibly change something on the invoice before we paid it. To which I responded " Well, you know how much the bill is. So, if we don't pay the proper amount, then you don't have to release the truck. Right?" To which she responded (changing the subject) that I would have to have a letter from our customer saying it was ok to take possession of the vehicle because they were not told that we were going to pick it up. I then told her that I had spoken with her driver on-scene and he had given me the address to pick it up. Not to mention that the original driver of the wrecked tractor was in her office at the time and they could release it to him.

The tractor arrived at their yard around 11am. By the time we retrieved the tractor it was around 1pm. Because the vehicle was in their yard before noon and stayed until after noon, they were able to charge my customer for 2 DAYS OF STORAGE!

And, FYI Vernola's- It is common practice and usually company policy to have an invoice before you issue payment to someone. That is what an invoice is.... an INVOICE TO PAY. If you give it to them after it's called a receipt. And like I said, it is common practice in most companies (especially larger ones) to require an invoice before payment can be issued which is why we had such a problem yesterday in getting the payment to you.

Here's what I'm sending to AAA:
Lisa from Vernola??s Towing called back to ask what was missing. When my husband told her it was the extension arm for the tire jack and the lug nut remover, she said that it could not have been their fault since they use their own jack and lug wrench. When my husband told her that he was sure our jack was used, she challenged him by asking him how would he know since he wasn??t there. When he told her that the jack was removed from the hidden compartment, was fully extended and left on top of cargo area, she replied that their driver said he removed some things from the jack to look for the lug wrench. Not only did this contradict what she said earlier, but I??m attaching below a picture of the compartment with the jack folded and replaced (which my husband did). As you can see, there is no need to remove the jack to get out the lug nut wrench which is located in separate area. Picture also shows where wrench and extender are missing.

Lisa made no attempt to say they looked for what we said was missing. She seemed only interested in denying any possibility the missing items could be with them. After being confronted by my husband stating the jack was taken out and extended, she argued that I told their driver I had a blown tire before and so maybe someone else had removed the items. This was a complete lie both because I??ve never had a blown tire in my Lexus RX330 before and because I said no such thing to the driver.

Even more upsetting than having the items missing is having the towing company make denials and obvious and repeated lies to argue it could not be their fault. As a 37 year member of AAA in good standing, I respectfully request that you remove this company from your sponsored list. For your further information, I??m attaching copies of the numerous other complaints this company has had.

was on my way to work this morning and I had a flat tire. Called Triple A and they told me soemone would be there in about 30 mins. then they called back and he was there in ten. Very courteous and helpful. I was pretty stressed out. He had me back on the road in twenty minutes. would recommend them to others.

my customers vehicle was towed into my shop for a flat tire,after replacing tire the vehicle would not start. i called customer and told her about it not starting and she said it was running fine prior and she simply pulled over and called aaa, but no issues with a no start.she authorized us to diagnose the no start we found that when vehicle was towed the driver accidently snaged the fuel pump wires causing the no start. customer paid us and when she called lisa @ vernolas she was extremly rude and right away said it was not their fault. customer had me call her so i can explain the reason as to why it would not start,she simply did not give me the chance to explain technical terms. aaa should drop vernolas tow service.

For the 2nd time they came to our business, and their trucks leak, when we called them they did not seem too concern meanwhile their is a mess in front of our business,and on the sidewalk, that leads to a fast food place. Someone can fall.

best service i have received from a tow company. when asking about charges on my granddaughters car that was impounded they were very nice all of her personal belongings were in place nothing was missing. they even towed it to her house for a reasonable price.

Called through AAA to get my mom's car towed - she had a flat tire on the 5 North Bound freeway. They came to my mom and decided to leave her there because she was not a AAA memeber. The dispatcher, Lisa, called me back. She was rude and yelling at me. I went out to meet my mom and found her stranded on the freeway!!! I wrote a letter to the Better Business Burea and to AAA. I did not recieve one word from Vernola's. AAA continues to use them.
This is a company that does not care what people say about them because companies like AAA are still using them. So I urge all AAA memebers - please refuse their services when calling AAA. If you do not believe me do your own search online, mine is not the only complaint.

This guy had a bad experience, or is just not happy with having to pay for his crime (whatever reason the car was impounded). Vernolas has been in business for many years, is on multiple list for police towing and part of AAA. Personally have been doing business with them for over 15 years. I had only one complaint in 15 years! Not bad in my book. Even if I am 100 miles away they are the only tow company I want use.

Vernola's put a new transmission in my car a couple of years ago and it works beautifully, it's just like a brang new car. The are also associated with AAA which makes life so much easier.
