I am not much into writing reviews but I think sharing my experience with Speers TV will be of service to people who might be in the same situation as I was.
I have a Samsung 40 inch LCD TV (model LNT4066FX) that we purchased about 3 years ago. We started having power up issues after 2 years of use. I did a thorough online research and discovered that this is a common problem with this unit and other similar Samsung models. I basically found out that the problem was due to some faulty capacitors.
Not having any tools or basic knowledge in replacing the capacitors, we decided to take it to Best Buy/ Geek Squad in Pasadena. Without even examining the TV, the counter representative agreed that the problem may be the capacitors but the entire power supply board needed to be replaced for about $350 to $400. Considering that a new TV will cost about the same, we decided to pass on the repair. We ended up buying a new 55 inch TV from Best Buy the same day.
A few weeks later, I was walking from my bank on Fair Oaks Avenue and happen to notice a small electronics store across the street; it was Speers TV. The ??Since 1955? caught my eye. I was wondering how such a small electronic shop can survive all these years. There??s got to be a reason why. I didn??t walk in that day but just made a note of their name.
I looked up their name online to get their phone number and possibly some information about the company. I called the shop and spoke to a gentleman. I explained the problem with the TV so he suggested that I bring it in for diagnosis at NO CHARGE. There??s got to be a catch to this. Will I be charged an arm and a leg when they do the repair? The gentleman assured me that there is no catch. I can just as easily pick up the TV if I decide for whatever reason not to do the repair at absolutely no charge.
Having considered the very positive (suspicious) and one negative online review, I decided to take my TV to Speers. I dropped it off on a Saturday and the guy said to give them until Thursday or Friday to come up with the diagnosis and estimate. By Wednesday, they called me and quoted $125 to replace 4 capacitors and 2 regulators. I am sure that the cost of these parts are far less but I have no idea how to do the work myself. However, the $125 I paid to fix the TV was well worth it. I wish that I found Speers first before buying the 55 inch TV. Oh well?

Speers TV is by far the best TV repair/retail shop to which I have ever been. Their customer service is fantastic, because they are warm, caring, honest and extremely knowledgeable. I have purchased multiple TVs from them, and they truly sell their products at unbeatable prices. Prior to purchasing my 36? TV from them a few years ago, I had searched many shops for the particular 36? Zenith, including Costco, Circuit City, Frys and Best Buy. Speers TV beat out all of these stores with their price. However, it??s not only Speers TV??s prices that make me more willing to do business with them, it??s also their unmatched service and customer care. All of the TVs I??ve purchased from them have been delivered and installed with utmost professionalism, attention to detail and at a very reasonable price. In fact, their service has so great that they have even been willing to answer any electronics questions I had during their installation. They even went as far as to take time out of their busy schedule to supply me with recommendations on sound systems and how to hook them up to the TV to get surround sound on all devices. To further illustrate their professionalism, I once took an older picture-tube TV to them for repair and their honesty absolutely dumbfounded me. They told me that repairing the TV would cost much more money than to purchase a new one. In other words, they were honest enough to tell me the appropriate action to take to save me money instead of worrying about maximizing their own profit. On another occasion, I took them a VCR to repair and they were able to diagnose the problem and fix it literally within a couple of days. All in all, my experience with Speers TV has been extremely wonderful. Unlike Best Buy and other electronics chains, Speers TV is a quintessential example of a business in which customer care and satisfaction is a top priority. All businesses should live up to the standards of Speers TV. I highly recommend doing business with them.

Speers TV Rocks ! I just bought a 46 LED Samsung from them. I was surprised about the price. They were $200.00 less than Best Buy, WOW, they came over installed it for me, showed me how everything Works. they made me feel very comfortable about my new LED. Go check tham out !!!

I Had Heard of Speers TV But I never Believed How nice they would be, I went to Best Buy to buy a TV, that was my first Mistake, they are horrible, My husband said I should try Speers TV, good thing I listened to him, I went to Speers TV, got a 50" Samsung Plasma from them, glad I did, they were even cheaper than Best Buy. Thank you Speers TV

I called for television repair: A very nice man came to my home and looked at my television. He told me that he would call Phillips to get info and let me know how much a repair would be. No call....I waited 8 days before stopping by the shop to see what the situation was. The guy in the store told me he would have the man call me.....no call....it has been another 10 days. I was very disappointed because I had hears such good things about Speers. I am getting a new TV.

They come to your house. Install your new product. Bring extra cables/wires/surge protectors/ anything you could/would/might need for a thorough install... they worked with our satellite HD/DVR box to make sure we had the best possible picture. Ash & Allen know everything and are so lovely and honest and old-fashioned -- they are the anti-GeekSquad -- what a refreshing thought! Once you buy something from Speers, you are a part of the Speers family and they will continue to come to your house. Even if it's my 85 yr-old mother in-law who every 90 days or so screws up her 'clicker' and can't get back into her system, sure enough, they stop by her house on their way home and get her right back in line. I had a good experience here. I have a combo TV/DVD/VCR unit. When the DVD and VCR doors refused to open, I had a decision to make - is it better to just buy a new TV or try to get this one repaired. Glad I found Speers-TV. They quoted $100 to fix the unit, but there was a bad laser (or something) so the ending price came in at $150. Much cheaper than buying a new TV. I'm happy and would use them again.
