the Pad Thai was once excellent there .... but recently it has become tasteless "mush" . They have no clue what "Prawns" are .... theirs are the smallest shrimps you'll only find fit for a salad.

We decided enough is enough .... enjoying the new decore and wait staff just doesn't cut it any more. Compared to other Thai restaurants on the peninsula and San Francisco, Thai City is - at best - a ONE STAR restaurant.

I ordered my take-out order on my cell phone on my way to the car and when I got there 10 minutes later it was ready. The staff was very friendly and the food is tasty!

We've adopted our neighborhoor Thai restaurant and won't go anywhere else for Thai food. Our family is welcomed and we often see friends there. The food is always delicious and our most favorite dessert, mango sticky rice, sends us into ecstasy. We've watched the owner's kids grow up there, and if you are inclined to need braodband with your meal, they have wifi too!

Thai City is a Thai Food Resturant that is actually owned and run by people from Thailand.

The food is excellent, the location is convenient and the family owners are outstanding community citizens - often donating goods and services to the Palo Alto School PTA functions.

I love their Padthai noodles (although I probably did not spell that correctly!) and Shark Fin soup. Hmmm good!

Give them a try, plenty of parking, great location on El Camino and reasonable pricing too.

PROS: Great Food, Good Loccation, Great Owners!
CONS:

This is not a fancy, impress your date kind of place. But, it's not a hole in the wall either. It's a great place to take your family and friends for some good Thai food. Parking is very limited, but I have never had to wait for a table. The staff are also very friendly.

The ambiance of Thai City is not that great, but the prompt service and fantastic food more than makes up for it. The sauces in every entree I have ordered has been amazing! Coconut based sauces are my favorites. Usually the restaurant is not that crowded so seating and service is very fast.

PROS: Excellent food, fast, friendly service
CONS: Older building on El Camino, ambiance not great.

...15 years ago. Good food....great Tom Gah Gai. Stark, utilitarian, rather uninviting decor.
