Need I say more? I was actually surprised when I showed up and the place was nearly empty for bottomless mimosa day... Total blast. $15 for endless champagne and orange juice. I also tried some of their bar food -- the jalapeno poppers were a perfect fix for my hungry tummy!

Not too crowded but a very local divey bar. Last time I was there which was a few years ago they had the best drink in an actual small fish bowl and served goldfish on the bar as snacks. Very fun atmosphere if your bar hopping with friends.

I love the Fish Bowl, it is by far the best local watering hole in the city...I know that's a bold statement, but they have great music, friendly and attentive bartenders, drinks specials every night, great partons and an atmosphere that guarentees a good time! It can get a little crowded on weekends past 11, but that's because this is a kickass place to be!

Pros: service, jukebox, atmosphere

Cons: parking, can get crowded, one bathroom

This is an awesome locals bar that has a chill atmosphere and amazing people. The service is super duper with fun bartenders. Its not a sports bar, but it's awesome watching sportscenter there with the boys. I love hanging out at this bar and shooting the s%&* with the bartenders. Recommended 110%!

Things I've seen at Fishbowl:

-A guy in green pants belligerent and drunk picking a fist fight... with a girl.

-A bartender head thrashing to Weezer's "Say It Ain't So," which is so loud, half the bar had to leave.

-Sad, hollow shells of women standing precariously on the bar in sky high heels, skin and flesh leaking out everywhere, pouring liquor into guy's mouths hoping for a little validation.

This place reeks of desperation, sadness, and people with too much money. It is a horrible place. It's simply too crowded. You cannot move at all. The music is too loud. Yelling at full volume you cannot be heard. And there's so many rich pompous losers here, it makes me happy to go back to my poor digs and my job lifting boxes.

My wife & I visited the fishbowl during a recent 2 week trip around California. It was our first night out in the USA and what a night!

The barman was superb, the drinks and cocktails top notch and the locals were a blast.

The fishbowl will always be a fond memory for us, we will return, even if it is half way around the world.

I have had a great time every visit to the 'Bowl. The bartenders are always friendly, not to mention pretty funny. Plus, the juke box rocks and you can order Frankie's there. And to top it off, many good looking boys, too. What else can you ask for?!?! I used to live caddycorner from the bar...Fish Bowl is so what the neighborhood needed. Great place to go after work or later in the night on a wednesday

I don't know about the negative reviews, but I've never had anything but FUN at the Fish Bowl. The service is great and friendly; I've never waited more than a minute or so for a drink. The drinks, by the way, are ridiculously strong (go for a $5 Hurricane on Tuesday... one is all you need, two and you'll be hurting Wed morning) and there are drink specials EVERY day (including Sunday Bloodies Sunday, $3 Bloody Marys). The crowd is always fun too, not pretentious, not boring... just laid-back and looking for a good time.
The best thing about the Fish Bowl? Fabulous food from Frankie's next door... Try the Gilroy burger, but only if you love garlic!
