I called to see if this establishment had a website. Susan asked me who I was. I shared with her I had been referred by a current customer and she did not know me personally. She asked me why should she tell me if they have a website or not? I proceeded to verify if this was a business or not and let her know that new customers tend to like to inquire if a business has a website. She then told me she had enough customers and hung up in my face.

BAD FOR BUSINESS AND QUITE FRANKLY IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW MANY CUSTOMERS YOU HAVE THAT IS NO REASON TO BE RUDE TO ANY PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS!

Pros: The Phone works

Cons: Everything

Hans was an angel and Susan continues the tradition of old world European craftmanship and excellence. Yes it usually "takes a week" but it is worth it. They do work in the film industry for costumes and for everyone else - they do anything - a simple button or alter or make a suit - even napkins and they always do the best job. Never a problem and great value. The workmanship is without comparison and I have been going there for decades. I hate to write a review for fear it will get even busier but all the team at Hans the Tailor deserve the respect as they are the best in L.A. or the world!

Pros: GREAT QUALITY AND GREAT VALUE

Cons: You wait a week. You can get it done faster but not the same.

I have been a Hans customer for about 8 years, and have never once been let down. Susan knows her customers by name, and always provides reasonably timely service. I have found that if on occasion you allow her more time on certain items (when you are not in a rush), she will always do her best to please you for those times you are "desparate to wear these jeans to a party tonight!" or "have to wear this bridesmaid dress tomorrow!". As far as quality of tailoring, I have never been disappointed in their work, and trust me I am very fussy. When it comes down to it, she does not need these reviews, because she has kept her business thriving for years on customer satisfaction and word of mouth alone.

Pros: Reliable, reasonably timely, good customer service and high quality tailoring

Cons: parking can be tough depending when you go

This place should be banned from operating: I took my almost-perfect evening dress for the Oscar for a very simple alteration, just to fine tune it.

I had given them ample time to work on it then went to pick it up a day after it had supposedly been ready. When I got there it wasn't ready, wrinkled and looking shabby. They made me wait but ended up telling me to come back in 30 min. I came back after two hours, my dress was still not ready!!

When I finally tried my dress on, it was cut too narrow I couldn't fit in. Mind you, it had been an almost-perfect dress to begin with that had needed a fine tuning. Now their work was so bad I couldn't fit in!! I was motified. It was 48 hours to the Oscar!! They made me take THREE MORE trips (Every time I got there something was totally wrong with my dress they had to rework it.) to make it somewhat okay in the end. They didn't have time to fix the zipper they had messed up in the course of fixing other parts. It made the fabric around the zipper all wrinkled, and I had to wear the dress like that on the day of the Oscar.

DO NOT GO TO THIS TAILOR UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR DRESS RUINED AS WELL AS YOUR IMPORTANT DAY/EVENING!!

Pros: None.

Cons: Just god awful.

I needed two suits tailored for a job next week in London. She had them re-cut, pressed and ready the next day. OK. She insists on my modeling the cloths for her, a privilege reserved for first-time customers only. What can I say, it sent shivers up my spine to see how perfect the cut was. Armani and Versace, better than ever. She even tapered by pants, so as to have them look more current. A touch of class. The search stops here. She takes pride in her work, and so do I.
