Best Restaurant/Bar in Town
by Melanie R.
I've been to Agenda Restaurant/Bar so many times, and have had the best experiences! They have the best service, food, and entertainment. It suits people of all ages. Well, 21+ at night, but the restaurant had great food and service. I recommend coming here.

Overpriced for a middle of the road establishment
by Jennifer K.
My gal friends and I went to the Agenda on a Saturday night and sat on the patio to listen to the live jazz while having dinner. Except for the bread basket (which is good and filled with a variety of breads, including crispy crackers, focaccia, and sourdough), the food was very disappointing. At our table, we ordered 3 pastas and all were bland and overcooked (not al dente). The tuna tartare appetizer was good in portion, but the fish was not fresh and it was way too spicy. Desserts were unimaginative (mud pie, banana cream pie) and average tasting as well. The upsides are the atmosphere (the patio jazz) and prices. Except for a steak priced at $25, all entrees were $10-17, most hovering around $12. However, some of the appetizers were just as expensive (around the $9-12 range).

For a Magical Dinner and free Concert...
by Debi R.
We met at The Agenda on a Friday night, for a pre-wedding event to allow everyone to meet and greet. Lyndie Way and crew were singing jazz. TAKE ME AWAY JAZZ!! The food was awesome, the service was prompt and personable, with lots of fun. Try the Chocolate dessert and the dirty Martini's. The music was just right and everyone left new friends & family. Great place ! Great time !

Don't waste your time or money!
by anna b.
This place is over-rated. The owner is rude and arrogant. The drinks are over-priced and under-liquored. The dance-floor often resembles a high school dance with both sexes at opposite sides of the room until everyone is liquored up and broke. There have been many violent nights at this place despite the strong yet questionable police presence ( why are the police never at other clubs??) The one positive aspect of this club is the 3 levels --but they are hardly ever used. Only the upstairs is usually open which prohibits the use of the outdoor patio on the main level. And, when the place is crowded, it is too crowded--without room to walk. On those nights you will have most likely shoveled out your paycheck just to get in. Loyal patrons are not valued and therefore the crowd population is inconsistent and highly fluctuates. You never know what you will get. I recommend that people take their times elsewhere.

Used to go to Agenda for lunch or dinner. Liked the big brick wall and the food was fine. Then it just got to be boring... or something... we just kind of drifted away..,

This is the spot to be friday nights. Although the main part of Agenda's is a little small, there are also different rooms that you can venture into for a different vibe and music. During the summer, they also have live music on the back patio. The music in the downstairs room is a little more hip-hop while the music upstairs is a mixture of everything. There are only 2 bathrooms in this whole facility though, but there isn't usually a long line. The only thing I would suggest is more bartendars..the wait at both bars is long!
PROS: live music, good drinks
CONS: need more bathrooms, more bartendars.

The Agenda Lounge in downtown San Jose is like all of the other clubs that you will find in the area where the drinks are overpriced and the crowd is out of control. I would not recommend this club to anyone.
