Editorial Description by Citysearch
The Scene Only Hollywood would construct a Disney-esque re-creation of a pre-war chophouse in an ostentatious, Las Vegas-style mall. With white-jacketed waiters, frosted mirrors and high-backed wooden booths, the Grill on Hollywood attempts to evoke the old-school ambience of a Musso & Frank-style establishment.
The Food The menu flashes back to a time when dining out meant a monstrous slab of meat and a stiff drink. Steaks are priced at $30 a pop--like the signature 24-ounce porterhouse. Thankfully, the Grill's extensive selection of martinis dulls the pain of a pricey meal. Appetizers include steak tartare and Dungeness crab cakes. Entrees feature charbroiled sea bass and braised short ribs that are fall-apart tender.

The Grill on Hollywood
Grill On Hollywood is good. Good appetizers and drinks with pretty good chicken, which I ordered last time. The atmosphere is fun which makes this a great place to hang out.

Not too crowded... The food here was decent. The prices are reasonable. I would definitely dine here again. I was impressed with the staff and the service as a whole.

waitress needs help
By creator1746
The food was less than what you'd expect for the price. The scenery was nice. However, after my sister and I ate lunch about 1PM today, the waitress chased us out complaining that our six dollar tip was not enough for her! I kid you not. She wouldn't let it drop! So bring a hefty tip and expect pretty average service, or you'll be chased out the door.
Pros: ambience
Cons: service

Good chicken, service
By ignacio48
I ordered the honey garlic chicken, which tasted great! The mashed potatoes and broccoli that came with it were average though. But their fries were very good. I found the service to be top notch, with patient waiters accommodating our large group, and never once did I have to track someone down to refill my water. It's a bit expensive though, so if I were to go back it'd have to be for a special occasion.
Pros: Food, service
Cons: parking

High prices, average food
By panchamora
We went there for a friends birthday and it was okay...the food was kinda expensive but portions were large..a friend and I were able to share a plate of chicken and garlic mashed potatoes...and still feel stuffed...the apple martinis are delicious, drinks are kinda strong...the dessert was very delish...again, big portion...we were able to pass that slice around the whole table for all 12 people to enjoy!!!! Our waiter was very friendly, helpful and knowledgable with the food and its ingredients...I would definitely go there again but with a little more money this time to enjoy a steak!
Pros: kinda expensive, but it is Hollywood
Cons: service was a bit slow

Loved it!

I don't quite know what the reviews here are talking about! First off, I ordered The Grill via LABite.com and even though it took a while for the food to get here, it was still hot! That said, the mixed green salad was quite large, especially considering it was delivery (usually they give you less when you get take out/delivery). They also included a hunk of great bread with butter on the side; wonderful packaging they did, taking care that everything was packed tightly and neatly. I ordered the angel hair pomodoro which was very good with plenty left over for tomorrow. I also got the Fudge Chocolate cake, not the Double Fudge since its not available on Sundays. It was a huge slice with a small container of cream and some raspberries for decoration; excellent! The total came to about $35...MORE THAN WORTH IT! I'd order or go to The Grill anytime!
Pros: Large Portions! Good Food! Worth the money!

PRICEY-Average Food, Small Portions
By vmarg
If you want to know how pricey this place is, take a peak at the menu before you go in. The cheapest chicken is $22 and so forth to $30 for fillet mignon. The interior is the classic vision of what a restaurant should be, with wonderful booths and old furniture, done up walls and mirrors. They give you delicious pickled peppers with the bread. Fillet mignon was small topped with fried onions that were not crisp, sides were a la carte. I ordered the lyonaise potatos, big mistake, it's just a small portion of boiled potatos with raw onions not worth $10. OVERPRICED FOR THE SMALL PORTIONS. It was deserted at 7:00pm on a Saturday, with some people at the bar. I thought the staff should have been more attentive since we were in an empty restaurant. The desserts were not interesting enough to try. Check it out once.
Pros: excellent decor, good for impressing, unique pickledpeppers
Cons: overpriced food, small portions, food is average
