This is one of La Jolla's breakfast standbys- always great food, great service and nice ambiance.I love eating in the outside courtyard. Like any popular restaurant it can sometimes get crowded but it's worth the wait.Highly recommended !

The restaurant has an east coast mentality to it. It is cute and quaint. The food is delicious, especially the breakfast menu!
The prices are nothing to complain about and the waiters are quick and helpful.

STUFFED FRENCH TOAST!
by Crystal N.
OMG!! I love this place! I went here a couple weekends ago with my boyfriend, his cousin and her boyfriend. It's a quaint little restaurant in downtown la jolla that is pretty busy. We had to wait about 30-45 min but it wasnt too bad because we just walked around all the shops and the food was well worth it!
I got the stuffed french toast, which is what they are known for. If this is your first visit, DEFINITELY try it. I dont usually eat french toast because it tends to be too heavy but this was just perfect. Its stuffed with strawberries a few other things and is absolutely AMAZING!
mmmmm I can't wait to go back!

The Cottage has excellent service and delicious breakfast. If you sit outside or inside its fabulous. I always go with family and friends and they can't get enough of it. The only thing is the wait for a table, but that just shows how yummy the food is!

The cottage has that beachy atmosphere that makes a breakfast or lunch feel relaxing. I recommend the BLT with avacado, it is delicous and it comes with great potato salad. The prices are more expensive but worth it.

by Chad T.
I love having breakfast at the cottage, inside or out. I don't care. The food and service is excellent. I always take visiting friends there and they always agree on how good the food is.
PROS: Great resstaurant, food , and service
CONS: Long table waiting list

Great service, great food, this is my favorite place to go for breakfast or brunch. All their juices are fresh squeezed, fruit is seasonal and their food is delicious. It is busy on weekends but worth the wait. Located in downtown La Jolla, you can stroll around the shops afterward.

The Cottage is a great place to go for breakfast, lunch, and now dinner! It has great outdoor dining and also some tables on the inside. They offer great California cuisine, sandwiches, salads, etc... The people who work there are always friendly and very accomdating. I always bring my daughter and they are super helpful. When my mother visits from out of town, she always has to have lunch here... she loves it! They even sell a cookbook with their meals in it.

This restaurant literally looks like a house on the street with several other shops or restaurants nearby. Food was quite good. Nice atmosphere, only downer was the long waits in line. Luckily theres lots of things nearby to kill some time.
