I can say a lot of good things about this great learning institution. It has beautiful facilities, a strong sports program and offers a high quality education. But it can be best summed up in two words.... GO CUBS!!!

Pros: I Graduated From Here

.

The Loyola High School campus is a magnificent-looking one: handsome three-story brick buildings (that remind me of the University houses in Cambridge, England); wide corridors; large bright classrooms; huge playing fields; gardens; and a sweeping circular driveway that deposits you outside one of the finest Catholic all-boy schools in the city.zThe campus is close to down-town, or as they say, centrally-located which it is since Loyola students come from Malibu, Santa Monica, North Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Hancock Park, the San Gabriel Valley, Whittier, Long Beach, Palos Verdes, and Pasadena. In any one year, they may receive applicants from as many as 225 Catholic public and private elementary schools. The competition is tough. Just to give you an idea of how tough the competition is, last year they had 800 applicants for 300 places, and they generally give preference to Catholic boys, although they do take in about 14% non-Catholics each year.
