Last month me and my wife purchased a bedroom set at legends fine furniture in costa mesa. The salesperson was knowledgeable and informative, I week later the set was delivered and set up, in a timely manner. I was pleased with the service and selection and have since recommended this store to friends

I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing my items at Legends. I would not give a positive recommendation based on my experience. Furniture that was supposed to be delivered within 2 weeks turned into a 5 week ordeal with no explanation and blatant lies by the salesperson. Numerous delivery dates (only after my repeated attempts to call the store) were scheduled to deliver my furniture, but no one showed up or even bothered to call. I was very surprised at the lack of professionalism, but I learned a valuable lesson and next time will do my research before making another furniture purchase.

My mom recently purchased a bedroom set from the store in Laguna Hills. The delivery was made three days after purchase and it arrived on time and in tact. Overall a very positive experience indeed. I would definitely shop there again!

I too bought a dining room set from Legends in Costa Mesa. It was the best price - I saved $20... Set was delivered two weeks later at the right day and time. But two chairs were damaged so they didn't bring them. Said they would call to redeliver the rest. Never did. I call them every 2 weeks and the never call me back. They said they were going to deliver today, and didn't show up. I called Julian at the store and got the run around twice. He still never called me back. I've been told to talk to James or Lee, but they are never there. I guess I'll start suing them to get the money back...

Don't buy from them! Everything MIGHT be ok. But if you have a problem you are screwed. We have a table with missing chairs. Good luck to me to find the other two chairs somewhere else now...

my husband and i recently bought furniture from legends,we found some pieces on the showroom floor,and the rest from three catalogs.we swore that we would not buy from catalogs,as we have had bad experiences.what we saw and ordered from the catalogs,is exactly what we got,i was very surprised,so happy now.still a little leery about catalog shopping,but would do it again at legends,we had several stores to choose from,but saw
better quality at this store,salesperson was very nice,and not pushy,thanks Randy,we enjoyed our time there.

i recently purchased a dining set for my new orange county home, and was promised a delivery of two to four weeks, i ended up receiving the item alot sooner than expected with no dents scratches marks or blemishes. the price was hard to beat along with the great service that i have received. I purchase a dresser, mirror and 2 nightstands 10/31/08. I received the dresser, mirror and 1 nightstand. The color was wrong, but I overlooked it, liked the color. They would reorder the other nightstand as the wrong it was the wrong model.
They did attempt to deliver the nightstand 4 times, but each time the furniture was damaged. It was incredible. Could not believe this is happening. The last time they delivered the wrong model and color. They would reorder. I did not hear from them and they will not return my calls. So far I have talked with James, Lee, Jason. No one cares.They will not tell me who is the manager. This has been a nightmare experience. I have gone to the store, they can not guarantee when I will receive my order. Now give me the run around,
about the warehouse, order, manager etc.
So now I have a mismatch set, with no hope of exchange.
This has been a painful experience. This description of what has happen is the shorten version. Lots more stress and frustration dealing with the store, delivery, staff. I have tried to be understanding, but it goes beyond limits. They are deceitful, and give the Asian community a bad name.

Shopping at legends is recomened. while ago i purchased a sofa made by bernhart and didnt order the love seat, now that i am moving to a bigger house, i need the other piece but the collection is no longer available. on july 21 i came in the store and talk to one of the sale person. this gentlement was helping me to look up for the collection, he made serveral phone calls and made it posible. before i went to legends, i stop by other store for pricing, this store really has the best price, i was quoted for 2299, 2249and i have to take the floor sample because it was discontinue and it wasnt the color i like ....delivey was 100 and tax. But when i went to legends. this young looking sale person gave me one price, 1950 even(out the door) and i was be able to pick the color i like.i recommended you to come to this place, they really have alot of interesting items.

We Ordered A couch more than 2 months ago and were told it would take 2-4 weeks. After The first 5 weeks the couch was delivered but was completely wrong. We are now still waiting for the delivery of attempt number 2. On Monday i was told our couch was done but the manufacturer wouldn't release it for some reason. Its now Friday and I haven't received a phone call. The worst communication and customer service I have ever seen. We will never buy from them again and urge anyone else looking for furniture to do the same. The Quality is nice, in retrospect we would have gone somewhere else.

My husband and I went to the Laguna Hills Legends store and found a table set we wanted to purchase. However, we would d have had to order the table separately to get what we liked. The sales rep was friendly at first, even though he was a little pushy about the sale. When we said we weren't going to buy the set, he started to walk away, telling us not to waste his time. We were a little surprised by his reaction, but came back to him to ask another question. Out of the blue, he started to use the F word, telling us he wasn't going to sell anything to us and that we had to get the f..k out of the store (I lost count of the times he told us to get the f..k out!). His yelling embarrassed his colleague who tried to apologize, but he kept telling us off while cowardly walking away.

So, what did we do wrong??? Oh my god, we just DIDN'T BUY!! I guess if you're going to go to that store, make sure you buy something or the sales reps will jump at your throat! No need to say we will never go back there again!

I did make sure that it was in stock before buying and it was delivered and set up as promised. Product quality seems fair for the price and and service was good. Can't comment about others experience, but my was good.

I worked for Legends for a long time (will not disclose for personal reasons) and I agree with all of the complaints. The management is HORRIBLE. The sales people are on commission, and I learned that furniture is more cut-throat than car sales. Most of these people will say anything to get you to sign. And the fine printed disclosure on the sales form pretty much writes off all of their responsibility. I finally left the company because I was fed up with the lack of service. There is no corporate office. It is owned by a nice, but insufficient man. He only places orders when he has bulk to buy, so if you are ordering from a catalog, he most likely will not even put the order in for months. If you want a refund, you have to pretty much subpeona him to do so. I would say that at least 75% of the customers end up yelling and angry. There are constant "Sales" that consist of marking everything up 45% then discounting it 25%. He has moved from location to location, always leaving due to bad customer service and the right to do a "Going out of business sale" with the same discount table as listed above. Honestly, go for a chain. Pay the extra money to be satisfied. Stop buying from these crooks and they will go out of business.

We were told that our entertainment unit would be delivered in 7-10 days. On the 10th day (Wednesday), we received a call from the warehouse saying our unit had arrived, but it was damaged so it was sent back. Understandable, so not a problem so far. We were told our unit would be delivered on Friday. I called our salesperson who said, due to our close proximity to the warehouse, our delivery would probably be closer to noon on Friday.On Friday I called the warehouse and was told that the delivery would be "after 5." I left work early to prepare our house (i.e., disconnect/move the TV and components and rearrange some furniture to expedite/ease installation of our new unit). At 6:45 I called both the Laguna Hills store and the warehouse, but no one was home at either place. I finally reached someone at the store at 7 pm who called me back a few minutes later and said the truck had a delivery in Irvine and then we were next. After several more futile calls to the warehouse and store, at 9:30 I googled the warehouse phone number and found that the warehouse was about 3 miles from my home. I drove to the location, tried the front door, but no one was home. Now I'm sitting here in my living room that's in chaos with steam coming out of my ears and egg all over my face for foolishly believing that this could have turned out better and knowing that I'll have to either set aside yet another chunk of my precious time to wait for another potential delivery, or I'll have to waste my time going to the store and creating a scene in order to get a refund (because, of course, Legends wasted no time cashing my check).Next time we'll pay a little more for a more reputable dealer.

We were first promised delivery a week from 7/7. It never happened. We were promised a phone call from the warehouse to advise when the furniture would be delivered...the phone call never came. We had to make a return trip to the store to be promised deliever on 7/17. We waited in the whole day July 17th, 2008 for a delivery that was never made. It was first promised between 12 and 2 PM and then 4 PM and 6PM...it was never delivered. We went back to the store at 06:30 PM and canceled the order. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this store for anything.

We purchased 2 couches a couple of years ago and were completely satisfied so we returned when we wanted an entertainment center. Again we were pleasantly surprised with selection, price, and assistance we received. We were picking up a TV nearby so we wanted to also pick up our entertainment piece. Our salesman coordinated the pickup and unpacked the piece to give it a thorough inspection and then repacked it for transport. We will go back.

We shopped at Legends Fine Furiture, 3323 Hyland Avenue #L, Costa Mesa. We had a terrible experience with this shop.
We ordered an item and was told it would be delivered in three weeks. Four weeks after placing the order we called to track the order, and were stonewalled by the staff at the store. We made several calls throughout the day and were told we would be called back with information, but no call came. When we finally reached someone with information we were told we could not have the item ordered because the fabric was backordered for two months. We were advised to cancel the order, which we did. We were told on 9/14 that a refund would be issued by 9/21 but no refund has been received. When we called to find out about our refund we are once again being stonewalled, and no one will say when we will be refunded. The manager is always away from the store, and supposedly our sales person no longer works for the company. No one will pass along the phone number for their corporate office, whom they blame for the lack of a refund. No one will give us the corporate office's phone number, or the name and phone number of anyone in charge who will be able to give us back our money.
At this point they have stolen our money and not given us either a refund or the item we ordered and paid for in good faith 6 weeks ago.
This company has very poor customer service and a total lack of honesty.

This is a very nice quality furniture store located in Laguna Hills near a bunch of furniture stores. They have fine furniture in every category ie couches, cabinets and beds etc. Things are priced somewhat expensively but you are getting the quality that you pay for and some things go on sale and you can really get a great deal.
