Fresh & Clean...a good deal

by Russell M.

First off, we got a great deal on their website, www.qisanbernardino.com , so we booked two rooms-- one for me, the hubby and two small children, and then one room for my mom. The rooms were actually pretty nice, they looked like they'd recently been remodled. Nice clean carpet, newer bedding, and the room had a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge (which is great to have for small children). Staff was friendly, hotel was quiet, and the breakfast was not bad at all. The fact that they have a guest laundry in the hotel really helped , as we had been traveling on the road for quiet a while, and our dirty clothes were starting to pile up. Also , the sizzler next door was a good and inexpensive way to have dinner.

Reasonable.....

by Kelly D.

Now you can't go into this looking for W hotel experience , but this hotel is a great value
( check out their website www.qisanbernardino.com )
The staff is very friendly and they have a wonderful free breakfast. . They are CONSISTENT. I have stayed at this property 3 times in the last rolling 12 months...including during their remodel. The room is clean and despite the doors which lead to the outside...I did not fear for my safety. And even the very small housekeeping issue that I noticed at 11:00 p.m....the front desk readily came over and personally remedied. It is a really good value for what you get. Go for it...remember in most cases...you're probably just resting overnight and trying to get a hot shower...not looking for a spa experience. Happy Travels!!.

Better than expected

by Daniel B.

We found clean rooms and a decent breakfast. The pool is large enough and the breakfast reasonable. We would stay here again. This is about a 2 minute walk from hospitality lane. . This is a reasonable hotel for the rate . Sheets were clean, towels fresh and clean as well. TV worked well and there was enough heat and hot water and water pressure. I was happy. Overall, an adequate, functional hotel property. Don't expect 5 star quality for a 3 star price. What you will get is a clean, basic room.

Clean Hotel

by Jasmine T.

Courteous and obliging staff I recently had the need to travel to San Bernardino , ca. area and at the advice of a friend stayed at this most delightful property. I found the staff very obliging of my every request and was especially pleased to find the manager on the property and actively engaged in helping guests in the evening hours when most hotels are staffed by part timers. The room was the cleanest I've ever stayed in. There weren't even water spots on the shower curtain rod. The parking area was well lighted and even though the wind was blowing, there wasn't one bit of trash to be found anywhere in the parking area or in the bushes or anywhere on the property. The hallways were spotless and the breakfast area was cleaner than the restaurants that we ate at in the area. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who cares about their comfort and personal safety.

Great Getaway

by Robin W.

I travel to the Loma Linda/San Bernardino area a lot, and each time we stay at a different hotel. I think we have finally found a place we can come back to. The location was great, it was easy to get around town and was close to the places we usually visit. The room I stayed in was just renovated and the bed was more comfortable than my bed at home. Staff was great

Perfect Stop

by laura w.

This property is the perfect stop for those traveling to Big Bear or any the montain resorts. Great to start the day at the base and drive up for a full day of skiing or boarding ! Very clean and friendly accommodations and staff. Pool was a perfect activity for the kids after a long drive. Breakfast was well done and great way to start the day. Lots of dining options within quick walk -- we enjoyed the japanese directly across hospitality lane. Highly recommend this hotel.

Nice Sleep

by Cindy W.

We found this hotel at 10pm and they were very polite, plus our AAA discount got us about 10 dollars off. Hadn't eaten all day and there was a Mimis cafe down the street , it took all but 2 mins. The AC worked wonderfully. We like the hotel. It was very comfortable. We had no problems. The room was very nice, and the personnel were very nice. We will be going back again.

Great stay with the kids

We recently stayed at this hotel and we weren't expecting much because of the low price. WOW, we were so impressed. The room was spotless and spacious. We had our children with us and they had space to play and we weren't concerned with dirty floors etc. Also, the beds were very comfortable and the bedding was above average. Check in was a breeze and warm breakfast in the morning. We had a refrigerator and a microwave. It was an excellent stay....highly recommended

Quite & Restfull

by Emil J.

The Quality Inn San Bernardino was upgraded recently and I've found it to be convenient, clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff is friendly and very helpful. An on-site breakfast area that is satisfying. It's easy to go on-line with a computer and this service is free, which I find to be a real plus. I'm working in San Bernardino and I've stayed there 3 times so far on business and consider it the best mix of amenities and affordability in the area.

Great Place to stay ....

by Jessie M.

We recently moved to Riverside/ Inland Empire and needed a place to stay for a week before we received the keys to our new home. The Quality Inn San Bernardino is a wonderful place to come "home" to during a very weary time, moving is pretty stressful after all. The hotel is immaculately clean and the rooms are nicely appointed. We had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee-maker and a small wet-bar in our room, all very handy for travelors or relocators like us. The pool is a nice clean pool . This hotel serves THE BEST complimentary breakfast I've seen yet. Fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, cereals, juices, bagels, danish. All in all, I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a restful place to stay in the San Bernardino area. They also have a washer/dryer which we used as well. Parking is great also, plenty of it and easy to maneuver yourself around to get to your car. Definitely give this place a try, we'd stay there again

Good Value & Good Location

by Adam N.

We stayed here for one night in February 2008 as part of an organised tour group. The mountain areas are lovely and the weather (in Feb) was a little cold , but beautiful during the day.
The Quality Inn is in a great location only a few minutes walk from Hospitality lane area and a wide range of shops and restaurants (also Sizzler right opposite). We stayed on the ground floor (Room 142?). The room was ok , but clean. The inland empire has some questionable areas, but this place in one of the best parts of the inland empire. I have to say that I felt totally safe at all times walking around the hotel and nearby. It seemed a perfectly nice area to me and there were no 'undesirable guests!' Also pool area was fabulous.

The Quality Inn San Bernardino is a budget motel in a great location. Don't expect luxury - but for a night or two to explore the mountains or Palm Springs it's fine.

Unexpected Stay....

by Melissa B.

We hadn't intended to stay here but the road up to the mountains was closed due to rain and snow.. We just walked into the hotel without a reservation but that was no problem. Price was pretty reasonable I thought particularly for such a nice hotel. The surrounding area , had a lot of places to eat ( Sizzlers, Mimis, Black Angus, BJ's ,etc) so our unexpected stay in the area turned out to be a nice adventure. I used the laundry downstairs and also the wifi in the lobby to check email and had no problems with either. The interstate in 1 minute away, so the place is pretty accessible. . All in all a pretty good unexpected stay.

Good Stay...

by Pamela W.

I chose this hotel because my younger brother's doing a student exchange at the UC Riverside and I wanted a place conveniently located near the school but not too expensive . I arrived early and they only had my room ready just a half hour before the normal check-in time. I sat at the waiting area which was comfy and there was a nice breakfast area that was open with a Television. My Kingbed room was a decent size and so was the bathroom. The bed was so comfortable that i had problem waking up every morning. Only problem was the sink which was not big enough to accommodate all the toiletries provided. . The best part of the stay was that I didn't have a laptop and I needed to access the internet . There is a computer with internet access Another thing which i looked forward to each morning? The breakfast, it's first-come-first-served buffet. There were also bagels, muffins, donuts etc plus a microwave and toaster. This hotel is close to all the major highways and freeway of the Inland empire. . . For someone who is used to the Hilton, Marriot, and Intercontinental etc, I would say this is a welcome change for me. Good Value

Wonderful service

by Herman N.

I have been to several events and receptions in the area and stay at this hotel and have clients who stay there all the time. The rooms are very comfortable, the food nearyby is fantastic, the service is great and it is literally one block from hospitality lane . It has a Sizzler and Mimi's cafe right next to it. I have always had the friendliest people help me on staff there.

Shockingly good....!

by Susan H.

Shockingly good! I was so skeptical about San Bernardino in general (sorry SB!), but I needed to be in town for an exam at UC Riverside. All of the hotels in Riverside cost over $100 and their reviews on other unmentionable sites were not great--they either seemed less than clean or somewhat noisy because near campus. I was very frustrated until I stumbled on this hotel.

The Quality Inn is only about 10-12 minutes away from UCR and less than than to downtown Riverside. The area around Waterman/Hospitality Lane is actually better than the UCR area for food, at least chain food. There is a Mimi's, Chilis, Olive Garden, El Torito (I think), Kinkos and Souplantation all within 1-2 miles of the hotel.

The Quality Inn was fabulously clean. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The rooms have comfy beds and clean, but small, bathrooms. There is a large half-fridge along with a microwave in the room. They have free wifi and a desk with a nice leather rolling chair. I stayed away from the pool and faced the mountains which is a really nice view as the sun is setting. There were a few slightly sketchy truck-driver types during the beginning of the week, but most people seemed to be heading through town like me.

The grounds are very well-kept. How could you do better than this for $80 a night (AAA rate)??

If I have to come back, I will stay here. I am staying in Ontario tonight because my husband is flying in and I wish I was just driving back to San Bernardino (I never thought I would say that).

I highly recommend this hotel for a nice quiet, clean place to stay.

Liked this hotel. Extremely nice service. Room was lnice and clean. Air conditioner worked very well, necessary in the IE past April. Would stay there again. Located close to the freeway for access , but not close enough for noise, and all the food and entertainment choices are just blocks away.

Comforting during bad times.....

by LarryItilong

Stayed here during the fires this past year, as we were headed up to Crestline....and I had to say how comforting , friendly , and helpful the whole staff was. The rooms were very clean and the property looked like it was kept up to date. The beds were very restful , and our room was kept nice and cool by the a/c. Lots of food choices nereby. Bathroom was average size , but tiles and tub were clean. I was able to sit on the leather chair and do some work at that very difficult time. Breakfast was stand with ceral , muffins , coffee , juice , and fruit. Pleasent stay despite the circumstances.
