This is the worst service in the world. The receptioist Lana is rude. Hangs up on customers. John Chin the owner does not return calls and does not stand behind his poor service. Go somewhere else!!!!

They charged $92 for 20 minutes of work. They then charged a $25 travel fee without mentioning that in the first place. When I called to complain, they were incredibly rude and refused to make any adjustments. We will never be using Fisk-it again!

When my car broke down in a bad area and a bunch of gang-bangers were assaulting me and robbing me, this fiske it truck drove up and they jumped out with a baseball bat and started playing banger baseball with these nappy clients,

I recently had my plumbing back-up over the Thanksgiving Holiday with several out of town guests staying at my home. Based on recommendations of high praise, I contacted Fisk-It early on the day following Thanksgiving and was pleasantly surprised to find that they could get a plumber out within a few hours. I can adamantly state that Fisk-It sets the standard for the way all service businesses should be run; professional, courteous, experienced, friendly, great pricing and no pressure to try to up-sell other service.
I will be recommending Fisk-It to anyone seeking peace of mind in a service company and will mark this company at the top of my list for future service.

Fisk-it is an old time kind of business, meaning they're honest. From the very time I used them 7 years ago, they always sent me a bill. . When I had a problem, Steve himself came over. Last several times I've called have been less than acceptable. His young guys have a lack basic business skills like being able to articulate what they will do and not do.

Recently, one left me with a wall rippd opn and as they were leaving, I said "what abou the wall?", they said "oh, we ripped it open to do the work but we won't close it back up, we're plumbers". I was speechless. For a $650 job, you'd think they could have told me at the time of estimate, "by the way, you'll be left with a hole in your wall". I called the owner and gave him a piece of my mind and he agreed to split the cost of the plasterer, another $180. But really, did I have to find out there was going to be an additional expense as they were leaving?

Another time when they were putting in a new kitchen faucet, I was in my office in the back while the kid did the work. I walked out to find the faucet running and the sink full, two seconds from overspilling and no plumber in sight. He was outside in the truck making a phone call. If I hadn't caught it, my wood floor would have been underwater. The guy was absolutely unapologetic. I told him to leave.

Next time, they were putting in a new garbage disposal, which I bought from them, as well. The guy told me after installation that it was defective due the loud noise it was making. I told him if it was really DOA, then go get another one. He refused, telling me that I had to deal with the manufacturer for a replacement...even though he just put it in. I was so livid, I told the plumber to leave. I called the owner and and he came over, peered inside, took out a screwdriver and popped a clip and voila, it worked fine. So, draw your own conclusions. His plumber would have put me through an entire replacement cycle for nothing.

I had a rough time with them but we seemed to work it out.Make sure you get an estimate before you do the work and make sure that includes an assistant.

Very professional, efficient, and friendly, and best of all honest. We had been calling plumbers every couple of months until we found fisk it. They are very responsive. When they arrive, they diagnose the problem quickly, and resolve it in a very timely manner.

We've had lots of problems with our 40's house and Fisk-it has been great. Both guys they sent were professional/on time and did the job quickly. Also dispensed advice about the drains so we wouldn't get the same problems again. Resisted replacing the garbage disposal although it's 10 years old and told us how to take care of it better to maintain performance. Highly recommended.

I called Fisk It after reading the glowing reviews on this website. I have to say i was sorely disappointed. The problem was a small one but they sent out someone who although was very pleasant was also very inexperienced and it took him 2 hours to fix what should have taken much less time. When i called to complain, they said that they sometimes send out their less experienced guys on smaller jobs and they did agree to only charge 1 hour instead of 2. Frankly i don't really wanted to be experimented on at $80+ per hour. Also they charged an additional $20 for travel time. They are in Culver City and I'm in Mid-City. I was not told about this charge when i made the appt. and since my area is adjacent to Culver City i was even more surprised. I was hoping that we had found our plumber but the search is still on.

I called Steve Fisk after reading the recommendation on this web site (Yellow Pages). Steve showed up, carefully evaluated the drain pipe issue caused by another firm (Drain Surgeon of Van Nuys who not only caused the issue but wanted 50% more than Steve to fix it). Steve gave me a written quote (fixed price), had the appointment made, supplied me with insurance and disclosures, sent a two man crew to do the work, and completed the work most professionally. I would definitely recommend Fisk It Plumbing!

The best plumber in Los Angeles. He does the highest quality work and offers the lowest prices (sounds like an ad but it's true!). For big jobs, make sure Steve comes out and supervises the work.
