Dr. Hsia has been the most on target, upfront doctor we have had. My husband Bill, has MS and is now in the later stages of his disease. Dr. Hsai has been Bill's doctor for several years now and has seen us through difficult times. She is always available by phone within 24 hours of my calling, her staff, Lisa and others have been wonderful in providing letters to insurance, calls to attorneys etc., and just helping me hang on when sometimes that is difficult to do... I would recommend Dr. Hsia,to anyone who is seeking a diagnosis or just learning to deal with a disease as distructive as MS can be. She and her staff are the best and her sense of humor though dry is a breath of sunshine on a cloudy day.... love her office and personality... she makes me smile.. and Bill can't pull his crap with her....

Great Doctor, Great Person

Dr. Hsia has been my neurologist on and off for over 10 years. I have had neurological problems every few years due to underlying chronic conditions; however I have performed intellectually demanding work for years between these "attacks". I attribute my ability to do so in great part to Dr. Hsia's knowledge of medicine which is both broad and deep, and her meticulous approach to listening to me and carefully recording my symptoms. Finally, however, I have great faith in her as a doctor because she persistently pursues probable diagnoses while continuing to stay open to other possibilities and then honestly informing me and my husband of the likelihood of a particular diagnosis (acknowledging then and there that doctors can actually be wrong!) Finally, she discusses possible approaches directly with both of us, always continuing to remember that I am an active person who desperately wants to quickly return to as close to a healthy active lifestyle as possible. Dr. Hsia is a delightful, dry-humored person, who happens to be a great doctor as well.

Dr. Hsia came highly recommended. I met her once before she put me into the hospital for a diagnostic workup. I thought she was very thorough in her work up.

After 5 weeks she gave a diagnosis with a poor prognosis. She told me to get my finances in order, apply for SSD, get a walker and she would write a letter for my disability case.

Well, after 5 weeks of no written documentation of this diagnosis, I started calling and faxed a letter stating I needed my medical records. I needed a note for my employer on whether I was going back to work or not. I was told she was working on it.

I also called three times due to severe stroke like symptoms happening. She never returned my call. I was promised each time I called that she was working on my letter & notes. Then out of the blue she has Secretary call to say it would be best for me to find a new Neurologist due to her not having enough time to write her dictations. She then called my HMO and wrote a horrible letter stating many things that were untrue.

This Secretary and Dr. have made my life a living hell. My health has deteriorated rapidly. I have not been able to walk without a walker or scooter since the last time I saw her. My blood levels have been way out of wack. I have called her, wrote a letter and basically begged for her to treat me. She has had her Secretary call to say NO, she will not see me again.

I would be very careful with how much you call or expect her or her staff to follow through on your case once she runs testing. I can not find a Dr. willing to see me due to her quitting my case. Most Dr.'s are doubting her diagnosis also. I don't. I believe she is very knowledgeable but her Secretary reports when patients are demanding and gets us fired.

I had been a patient of Dr. Rosalind Hsia since 2002. As far as her treatment and diagnosis I felt she was on target and she stood by her findings which were supported by a lot of documented evidence.
Aprox. a year and a half ago the insurance adjuster began pushing her to say I was permanent stationary when she refused to go along they began doing improper and unethical tactics such as dropping her out of the medical provider network.
There was a Deposition in which my attorney Janet conover didn't show and the doctor and defense attorney Christine Alire made unprofessional comments violating patients rights and Judicial Ethics Violations etc.
One day I was to see Dr. Hsia and she had her secretary cancel the appointment passing the message, " In light of recent events the Doctor feels It would be better for me to seek another provider." I have continued to try to find out what happened NO RESPONSE AT ALL yet there was a recent report and even after the Judge granted treatments she still wouldn't respond yet made a report for who????

Very thorough. Caught and diagnosed a problem the original doc missed. Hard to contact. Might be a front desk problem. Takes her time in the exmination and amenable to questions.

after one week of daily phone calls to her office while i was in crisis she wouldn't return the call, not even one time. staff seems barely literate as they repeat my message one word at a time as if spelling it at the same time. cold. poor bedside manner.

Well so far she has been very thorough. She is a very cool Doctor and her staff as well ! She takes a lot of notes on her laptop, which most docs, wouldn't bother.
