My friend and I visited here for lunch the other day for the first time. We can hardly wait to go back again. I had their Mexican Casserole and my friend had "The Squash that Got Stuffed." YUM!!
The food was delicious and there was so much that we had to take some home with us. The service was great in spite of their being very busy, Don't know why I never heard of this restaurant before, but I will definitely return. I''m getting hungry just thinking about it!

This converted old house/office lends a great atmosphere to the restaurant. Odd decor and walls painted by locals lend an artsy feel. Casual, seat yourself. Happens to be next to an open-air Farmers Market every Thursday night during

This cozy, casual restaurant has been a favorite of my family for almost 30 years. They have a wide range of vegetarian and other healthy, but hearty fare. My favorite is the Cocky Leeky soup, which is to-die-for. Their nachos are also excellent. If you're not driving, be sure to check out their alcohol and cream laced coffees. Sinfully delicious!

Slightly more expensive than a coffee shop, but worth it.

This is a small restaurant with big atmosphere! They offer a wide selection of healthy foods and beverages, including wheat grass shots. The atmosphere is friendly and vibrant. Food is excellent, very easy to make a healthy, delicious choice here! Parking can be a little tight, but it is a charming old town feeling area even if you must walk a bit.

I love to visit this, one of my favorite old hangouts, whenever I'm back home in north OC. They serve healthy foods - whole grains, sprouts, etc. - in an eclectic bohemian kind of atmosphere. The cheese fondue pot, various coffees and teas, and desserts are killer. Rutie's has been a Fullerton standard - especially for the student crowd - since I was in high school (a while ago!!). But you'll find all kinds of people who love their fresh, wholesome food.

If you want a relaxed environment (seat yourself) with good, fresh, food and a menu that offers many vegetarian items, then look no further. This place is great for hanging out in a relaxed environment and eating inexpensively--I've never

Pros: food, value, service

It's been here since 1970, and been serving happy hippies ever since. Great salads, soups and specials, something for everyone! Don't miss it!

Rutabegorz features a very expansive, vegetarian-friendly menu that also serves chicken and other meat dishes for the carnivores among us. Popular among the college crowd as well as with older "locals" and the business crowd, Ruta's offers a large variety of sandwiches, salads, desserts, and hot dishes 7 days a week. No reservations are accepted and the wait is unpredicatbale; one recent evening the place was packed at 8:30 PM, unusual for Fullerton. You'll always be cozy in the Spanish-style home housing this laid-back eatery.

Ruta's may be best known for its salads featuring farm-fresh vegetables and chunks of lean turkey, chicken, and avocados. The salads are HUGE and come in large, colorful bowls. Very satisfying, I suggest ordering the Garlic Chicken salad which is flavorful and relatively healthy.

The sandwiches are diverse and stick-to-your ribs filling. Try turkey or "the walnut the kissed the chicken" on its famous squaw bread. YUM!

Also tasty are the coffees with fresh whipp
