This tiny international airport is the best one to fly out of in The Valley if you can manage it. Security is fast and parking ample.

this is a pretty good airport. i highly recommend flying into here if you are visitng an area near the valley, there's no point to fly the LAX but sometimes it can be cheaper since it is a bigger airport.

This airport is my favorite from all the ones I have used in the world. It is so convenient to get in and out. I just wish there were more airlines. I wish the city would let it expand. The noise is not as bad as the city says. I would like ti use the airport to fly nonstop to cites like Washington DC and Boston.

Pros: very convenient and user friendly

Cons: needs more destinations

I fly to see my girlfriend a couple times a month, and she flies down here when I'm not flying up north to see her. Burbank Airport is five minutes from my house, and I like to park at their lots for $12 a day when I don't get a lift or take a taxi. It's a small airport, to be sure, but with that limited size comes speed and convinience you don't get in more major airports. You plane and deplane on a tarmac, from both the front and rear on movable stairways. This gives a feeling of something akin to arriving in a small airport on some island somewhere. I've made it through security in less than 10 minutes most times, except Monday mornings when I've noticed it's the craziest.

Pros: small easy airport

Cons: valet is expensive

On getting our car back from the valet, we found a woman's make-up on the passenger side of the car. No one had a good explanation and the only thing we can think of is that someone took the car for a night out while we were on vacation :-(
DON'T USE THE VALET!

This is a great little airport -- if you are close enough to use it over LAX, then by all means, do it! One of the few places where you can board and de-board a plane from the front AND back, so you can get in and out faster. Everything here seems to go very quickly.

Parking is sometimes an issue, as they have many lots and you always have to take a shuttle to and from the airport -- but they are very short rides, and the shuttles tend to come by frequently. The new addition of the "valet" service has become a sore point for increased traffic around the terminal, but I guess it really helps those who are in danger of missing their flights.

Another note of interest, Burbank's runway is shorter than most, which makes the landings a bit more abrupt than most, because they have to put on the brakes right away to keep from overshooting.

This is by far the best and most convenient of the LA area airports. LAX being the worst of course. Getting to the airport is no problem and the traffic flow is always nice and constant even on the busier flying days.

The airport is not that big so getting around it is not like running a marathon.

The only thing I don't like is the parking. It's crowded and almost always full, and long term parking is such a hike from the airport. Just have a friend pick you up and drop you off and you should be just fine.

PROS: Great in and out, not too big
CONS: Lack of parking

If you live in north-central LA county, this small Valley airport is the ideal place to catch a shuttle to Phoenix, Vegas or San Fran. The outdoor luggage carousels are great, parking is abundant and close to the terminal and the crowds are obviously smaller than LAX. Spotted a few celebrities (Sean Penn and the St. Louis Cardinals) here as well. The one drawback? Food is overpriced and options are very limited.

this is the place. I never did like flying. It's not the airplane that bothers me, it's the trouble that you have to go through just getting your flight. And now, since 9/11 it's even worse.

So when I do fly this is the airport I choose. The parking is great and close by, the wait isn't too long, and the customer service seems better then LAX.

With air travel becoming increasingly more difficult, Burbank stands out as a clear winner. This is the most convenient airport in LA. Parking is a breeze. Pick Economy lots, A, B, or C and pay only $9.00/day. Southwest, United and Alaska all fly out of Burbank. While it will cost a bit of premium to fly from Burbank as compared to LAX, it is well worth it.

Why anybody flies out of LAX for a domestic flight (especially a commuter flight) is beyond me. The Burbank Airport is a thousand times more convenient. It has only two terminals, the majority of which are for no frills airline Southwest. Theres all the usual fast food spots, bars and gift shops. Remote and airport parking is easily accessible, and theres rental cars onsite (note: Budget is not at the airportits further down Hollywood Way, as is Enterprise).

...this is it. Parking? Easy and close by. Lines? Short and move fast. Traffic? Easily navigated. Customer Service? Easy to find and incredibly helpful. Baggage claim? You've got two choices: Carousel A or Carousel B. It's airports like this that encourage me to take a last minutes trip with ease and check my bag with no worries. I wish I could leave from Burbank every flight.

Burbank Airport is by far the most convenient airport to fly in or out of in Southern California. For short business trips, valet parking is the way to go. Longer trips, long-term parking is only $8/day and is very close. It's easy to drop people off, easy to pick people up, and because it's small, it doesn't take long to get to your gate. The only drawback is that there are only 3 security machines, so if your timing is off, you may have a long wait to get to your gate.

So close to home, yet lots of airlines fly here. You can catch a Southwest flight to just about anywhere these days. Book 21 days in advance and they have some real bargains. Good place to spot a celebrity. Close and convenient parking. I use Lot C and have always had good luck.

I ALWAYS fly out of Burbank instead of LAX, if I can help it. It's much smaller and the lines are much, much shorter. You can find parking with no problems.
