Outpost Cafe & Truck Stop

This place is an ok stop if you are hungry and passing through on the 15 freeway. As was noted in a previous review, it is not the cleanest and the prices are high for what you get but the food was good. The staff was freindly though, and after all...it IS a truck stop!

Im surprised at reading the previous reviews, as this is NOT a clean restaurant! While dining there, my family and I noticed a very large cockroach scurry from beneath our table and run behind the wait station. EWW! Homemade pies? Yes, but it's 5 ridiculous dollars apiece! I could buy a WHOLE PIE elsewhere for the same price! The owners are greedy for charging that much for a single slice of pie, esp. at a lousy truckstop cafe! These people are millionaires...now we know why. Sure, they've been there for years, maybe because the $5 pieces of pie keep them in business!

If you are on your way through and want a real meal, try this little cafe. It has been there for years and years- my husbands family used to stop there when he was a little kid even! Their food is good, and the restaurant is clean. Prices are pretty good, too, and it is a nice change from the fast food joints that you get tired of stopping at during long trips.
