Straits Cafe is the type of restaurant that people - especially the young and gorgeous twenty-somethings - flock to for the "it" factor. On weekend nights it has a hopping "meet-market" atmosphere and a DJ or jazz, and coupled with its dark alluring Asian-themed ambience, it has become one of the "see-and-be-seen" places in Santana Row. As for the food, while it is delicious, interesting and novel and beautifully presented, it's not worth the money. A friend and I once blew $120 on two drinks and little plates of food that somehow didn't satisfy us.
PROS: Indian flatbread
CONS: small plates add up to a lot of money - too pricey for me
