It's not awful here, but it could be better, especially for the price. and for those who are squeamish about their bodies, this is not the place for you. They have Roman baths and it can be a bit too open, even for me and I'm not ashamed of my body at all.

As far as massages go, they can be hit or miss. Once you find someone you like, make sure you schedule for when they are there. They do have valet, but there's also a structure across the street that gives 2 hours of free parking.

Aqua Day Spa in Santa Monica is clearly the rival to Santa Monica's Burke Williams Day Spa. Aqua Day Spa is very nice if you don't mind paying at least $100 for a basic sweedish massage; anything above that, the price goes up. They have a very large (and one small)jacuzzi that you can relax in before and after your massage while staring up at the stenciled grape vines on the walls making you feel tranquil and removed from the outside world. They keep the silver pitcher of cucumber water amply filled so you do not get dehydrated while soaking in the jacuzzi. The few massage therapists that I have experienced there were extremely proffesional and very well trained. They aren't afraid to dig in deep, and if you so desire, they will give you an emotional explanation for the huge knot that had developed in your left shoulder. It is not the medieval cozy chambers of the recently renovated Burke Williams just around the corner, but it is a simple, expensive treat that makes you feel oh-la-la, at lea
