I went in here for the first time recently and was not impressed. I had heard this was a great store, but I didn't find anything I was looking for and even found some hideous clothes I would never wear (such as a hot pink skirt with straps attached that look like suspenders!) What!
I did not really know this pace until I walked through it to get to the San Francisco Shopping Mall. A cute shirt attarcted my eye and I stopped. I have been hooked there ever since. They hve really nice trendy clothing. The styles are interesting even thoug some things are on the pricy side. But its very hip.
This place is a little on the pricey side, but has really cute stuff. If you ever find yourself in a jam and need a really cute and trendy outfit for an evening I would recommend starting here, you will find it. The shelves can be really hard to dig through and it requires some definite patience to deal with the music and the teeny boppers shopping for thongs, but it is worth it in the end when you find something that is perfect and unique.
I used to love this store, but now I admit I have found better teen stores at much better prices. For example, their shoes are ridiculously priced. You can get the Nikes they sell for a much better deal at the Niketown in San Francisco, which I think is ridiculous. They're good if you like unique stuff, though. The store has a great retro decoration (better than the clothes, I think).
Urban Outfitters has the best shopping for men's clothing in the city. They are young, fresh, in with the trends and are decently priced. They are located right downtown on Powell street, so it's easy to just pop in and peruse the store. Check them out!
PROS: Cool clothes, household items, books and games
CONS: They can be kind of pricey, depending on your budget
Urban Outfitters use to appeal to me. Maybe five years ago. But now, the clothing is just, um, unattractive and expensive. I've grown out of it, I think. I think it is definitely geared for a "youth" market, a hipster-kinda-gal-an-guy. Not me anymore. Though they do have fun jewelery. I think an early 20ish year-old would love this store.
Urban Outfitters is a great store that sells a lot of clothes. I love how they have different styles of clothing that corresponds to today's hottest trends. You can find shoes, jeans, shirts, accessories, pants, skirts, and so much more. They a lot of high quality denim from brands like Seven for all mankind, miss sixty, diesel, etc. The atmosphere is great with good music. Urban Outfitters attract a lot of college students. It's not the cheapest place to buy clothes, but it's one of the best places to find things you like.
Way cool place to shop at least for men's clothes. Service from the "kids" on the floor is remarkably spectacular, very helpful and friendly. Clothes can be expensive, but the BARGAIN RACKS RULE. Great retro and modern styles, decent selection of shoes, but definitely the more radical of styles. Really large place set on like 3 or 4 levels with all sorts of home decorating, clothing, and knick-knacks. Like a crate & barrell for the young, young & hip, old and hip, and just generally cool.
Pros: Nostalgic, Selection, Hip
Cons: Crowded, a tad pricey
