I like this place a lot. Free WiFi and comfy couches. Very groovy crowd. Recommended. The coffee is decent, not the best, but the place as a whole has a really nice vibe.
5Every cliche in the book on a "geniune coffee shop" exists in this place. The "hipster" college student behind the counter using meaningless banter and ill attempt quips on your knowledge of coffee to make her feel a bit better about

Pros: nothing
Cons: aweful service, bad artwork, cat piss furniture
The guy at the cafe, I guess it was the same guy who has gotten the bad reviews below, by the way, was such a r***st. When I went to the cafe last time, the guy was friendly talking to a caucasian women customer, and turned to me, he

Pros: Good coffee
Cons: Awful and the worst staff in LA
We walked into this cafe today, thinking that we would all enjoy a great cup of coffee. Instead, we were not greeted and when we attempted to order, the man who said he was the manager continued to play his video game on his PSP without

THE SERVICE WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! The employees at this coffee shop make coffee for close to minimum wage and yet they act like they're too good to smile or even greet you nicely. \r

The bald, fat, caucasian barista who works on

Pros: Quiet Atmosphere
Cons: Service
if you don't mind the cranky proprietor (like your dad in a bad mood, get what you want then get out of his face), it's not a bad place. Mellow atmosphere, a crowded virtually all day and the most worn out couches you've ever attempted to

Pros: decent coffee, unique artsy, non-pretentious atmosphere, wifi with purchase
Cons: Cranky Proprietor, Cranky Couches
Great atmosphere, fun people, and a great environment in Los Feliz make this a great place to spend an afternoon or write your screenplay on your laptop.
The downside is that in the evening the lighting isn't great making it hard sometimes to work there.
It's also open very late so if you need coffee at 1:30 am, this is your place.

I've been here twice. The first time was on a Sunday and we were lucky enough to find a table. The second time, I left after getting my coffee since there was no space for me to sit down and work. The place has a small up-stair with

I only wish that for every Coffee Bean, Pete's, and Starbucks there was a Psychobabble. The coffee is so good, the tea selections are enormous and amazing, and they have the best cheesecake EVER. They're open until 2 am, and very

Pros: CHEESECAKE, tea and coffee selections, artist support
Cons: parking, sometimes super busy (but c'mon, it's LA people)
If you're used to the instant gratification and sterily uniformity of your next-door Starbucks - this might not be your cup of Joe. The furniture is mismatched and disheveled, the waits for a simple cafe au lait are often unjustifiable,

if you just want a cup of coffee, i recommend you skip this joint. i love the atmosphere and the late hours are awesome, but the coffee isn't very good. if i didn't think it rude, i'd buy a 7-11 coffee and drink there.
3For a cup of joe or a free wi-fi connection, Psychobabble will serve you well. With a choice of lived in couches to rest your dogs or tables and chairs for the business-minded, this place does the job.
PROS: Los Feliz-convenient, varied menu selection, free wi-fi
CONS: coffee serviceable (better than Starbucks), nightmare parking

Psychobabble is the kind of coffehouse near and dear to my heart. It's small, no furniture matches, the waitstaff aren't sickeningly helpful, and the whole atmosphere puts you back in the mindset of the broke student you once were. The

A really cute coffee shop in Los Feliz. Free parking in the back, free DSL with minimum purchase, and great coffee too.
5This isn't everything I envision in an ideal coffee house, but I wanted to speak on one important aspect that seems to be rare in L.A.
There are a fair amount of coffee houses with Internet Access. Some wireless, some wired. Although I

This is a nice place in the neighborhood to get out and read, chat with friends, or play a good game of chess with someone.
