THE BEST OFFICE AND DERMATOLOGIST IN ALL OF LOS ANGELES!!

by diana s.

I am dying of laughter right now!! While surfing the web to find Dr. Molly's address, I found this review website on a google search, so I scrolled down to read the entries. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? Not only is Dr. Griffin AMAZING!!!...but so is her office staff. I absolutely adore the office manager!! It will remain a mystery to me as to why some of the entries below describe their experience in the office as less than favorable!! I have been a patient of Dr. Griffin for the last 9 years. Her staff is the BEST and so is Molly!!!! I don't know what I would do without them!!

"Great Staff" and "Awesome Doc"!!!

by Gina G.

I thought Dr. Molly Griffin and her Office Manager Shannon were both wonderful, and helpful. Shannon is extremely friendly and professional. She always greets you with a friendly and cheerful smile.
It is awesome to have a doctor that actually is on time and you don't have to wait for more then 5 minutes. They acknowledge that your time is very valuable as well and so they go out of there way to accommodate you!
I highly recommend Dr Griffin she is very knowledgeable, I never have felt I was being rushed in that office! Cheers to her and her awesome staff!

Griffin Molly E Md is a five star physician and so is her staff.

by dennis h.

Dr. Griffin is a five star physician and so is her staff.

I have been a patient of Dr. Griffin's for years and have have always been greeted with a smile and a "can do" attitude in terms of scheduling appointments. Dr. Griffin runs a really punctual "railroad" out of courtesy to her patients, so don't be more than 10 minutes late. If 3 patients are 15 minutes late everyone will be waiting 45 minutes as a result.
This is a great dermatologist with a really cool staff. As I said a the start, first rate, 5 stars.

Griffin Molly E Md is THE person to see on the West Side

by Wally M.

Great doctor and great staff. I am stunned by the bad reviews. Dr. Griffin is the best, and her staff bent over backwards for me.

They were helpful answering questions about billing, dealing with my insurance when my policy changed, and quick about refilling prescriptions.

I have to say that the complaints from people who missed their appointments sound a little silly. Yes, they keep a schedule, so if you don't show up on schedule, expect things to be a little inconvenient for you (not the rest of her patients who showed up on time). I never felt like I was rushed, but they always get me in and out on my lunch break, which is a real luxury.

I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Griffin Molly E Md: Great Doc, Great Experience

by Nancy G.

Dr. Griffin's wonderful, warm and professional. She's great with kids, too. Her office staff is helpful and friendly. And how great not to be kept waiting.

My experience with Dr. Griffin's office was very unpleasant!! Her staff is rude, short and not helpful at all and her billing lady was just as unprofessional.

Dr. Griffin review

by Renee C.

Dr. Griffin is very knowledgeable and also very professional. She keeps her appointments running on time so you don't have to wait so long in the waiting room. My only complaint is that sometimes you feel she is trying to "wrap things up" and rush you.

Good doctor, rude receptionist

by Irene S.

While I liked Dr. Griffin, I have seriously considered switching dermatologists because of the rude and unreasonable office manager/receptionist. After several incidents, I dread going to that office.

wouldn't know - turned away by receptionist

by J L.

I made an appointment to see Dr. Griffin and waited for 2 months to see her. I was told when making my appointment that her office runs "on time". I was not told that this means if you are 15 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled. The receptionist would not allow me to wait to see the Doctor and was so rude, that I left the office in tears thinking I would have to wait another 2 months to see someone. What a terrible way to treat a patient, no matter what the "office policy" says. And no, I'm not some "typical entitled Angelino", not that they deserve any lesser quality medical treatment than the "unentitled" do.

great dermatologist, obnoxious receptionist

by k h.

I have to agree that although I liked Dr. Griffin a lot, I was completely turned off by the rude attitude of her receptionist. After reading these reviews, apparently I'm not the only one. My husband and I have stopped going to her office because of the unpleasant way we were treated.

Good doctor

by A J.

Dr. Griffin does indeed some knowledgable, very professional, and an effective communicator. I've been an excema sufferer for years, and simply needed a prescription for a medication I was already familiar with. She respected that I knew what I needed and wrote the prescription without hassle. She was also very accommodating in taking the time to address two other separate skin issues. Many doctors annoyingly insist on making separate appointments for each issue no matter how minor, so I greatly appreciate Dr. Griffin's willingness to address as many issues and questions as I had.
The thing that keeps me from giving a 5-star rating are that I did feel slightly rushed, though perhaps it may simply be her personality/demeanor than a doctor lacking concern (and asking her to address 3 issues). The lady at the front desk is also a little cold, though professional enough. Sweet assistant.
A perhaps irrelevant note-almost all the staff, including the doctor have a weird extra botoxed look giving the place a kind of Stepford Wives feel. As a new patient there is also a questionnaire that focuses on cosmetic dermatology (botox, plastic surgery, etc.). A little weird for me being new to LA, but the doctor fulfills my needs so I'll stick with it for now.

TERRIBLE Office Staff

by S O.

Like the other reviewers, I found the office manager at this place to be one of the most rude people I've come across in a medical facility. Totally unprofessional and a bad attitude. I got so fed up with her that I told her that I thought she was rude. Her response was, "Just doing my job." Oh really? If your job is to lose patients for Dr. Griffin, then pat yourself on the back. I've found a new doctor.

As far as Dr. Griffin goes, I found her to be knowledgeable, but the appointment felt rushed.

Recommended 200%!!!

by J. P.

Just so happened to read up on my Dermatologists office and saw negative comments that surprised the heck out of me! I think maybe the people who wrote these may have mistakenly blogged about the wrong Dr.s office??? I've been a patient of Dr. Griffins for over 2 years and have found this office EXTREMELY wonderful. I trust only the finest and most knowledgeable Dr.s with my health. Dr. Griffin is ALWAYS sincerely interested in my well being. I have never had a reason to complain about Dr. Griffin or her staff. My current health care plan will soon be out of network and I will still continue to only see Dr. Griffin for my general dermatology and cosmetic needs. Dr. Griffins staff is great! The Office Manager Shannon is very professional and personable. Shes prompt, helpful and does it all with a great attitude. I would recommend Dr. Griffins office 200%!!!

She is the best

by Mike C.

Dr. Griffin is the best. I've seen her for eczema that no doctors could help. She fixed it. I've also seen her for a staph infection. A friend of a friend had terrible acne, went to other dermatologists with no luck. Griffin fixed it.

This is not the typical doctor's office where you just waltz in, thinking that they'll be late. At most doctor's offices, I go in late for my appoint, to cut into the delay that most offices have. Not here, though.

Her office runs on time. I have never waited longer than 5 minutes in the waiting room.

Getting an appointment is hard. I have been told before to schedule my appointment a month in advance. But, well, she's the best. Thus, there is a huge demand on her time.

Her office manager is cool. Today I just had an emergency (staph infection). I walked into the office to beg for an appointment. She could tell I needed treatment and squeezed me in for the next day.

I think people complaining about her are your typical entitled Angelinos. I'm always super polite, and in the 8 times I've been to the office over the past 3 years, I've never had bad service.

Very Rude Office Staff

by Kim L.

I had to wait two months for an appointment and then when the day came, my car wouldn't start. I called the office a half hour before my appointment and explained my problem and told them my husband would be bringing me his car so I wouldn't miss this appointment I'd been waiting so long for. I told Shannen, the office manager, that I would be 5 - 10 min late. When I arrived at the office 14 min late she said they would have to reschedule me because I was too late. "Office policy" she replied. I asked her why she didn't mention this to me on the phone when I called and had my husband yanked out of a meeting to bring me a car. I don't even want to talk about how rude she was to me after that. I never got to see the doctor. But beware this "office manager" is exceedingly rude.

cannot recommend this practice

by S. E.

The service of this physician was fine, though ultimately she was not able to shed any new light on an existing skin condition.

Surprise office visit cost of $160 (insurance covered $26) plus rude office staff have prompted this comment to warn other perspective patients about my experience.

I cannot recommend this practice and will now be seeking help elsewhere.

so upsetting

by Anonymous

I am an existing patient of Dr. Griffin and have respect for her abilities as a dermatoligist.
However, I am currently experiencing a very serious problem and called to schedule an appt. The receptionist informed me that there were no openings.
I then explained how serious my problem was and that I needed to see someone asap. I requested if I could at least leave a message for Dr. Griffin to ask her for advice on where I might turn for this particular problem.
The receptionist was condesending and could not care less (as I was near tears). She very rudely stated she would take my number and get back to me.
To this day (a week later), I have not even received a call back.

I am now in dire need of help...my problem has worsened and to be treated with such a lack of respect and concern at a time of need is extremely upsetting.
I am left not knowing where to turn or what to do at this point.
I am writing this in hope that no one else experiences this kind of situation.

Terrific Experience

by Anonymous

I have been a rosacea sufferer for years and every doctor I went to in the past either didn't know what to do with me, prescribed an old school topical medication that didn't do anything or immediately wanted to laser me. Dr. Griffin took the time to put in place a comprehensive treatment that focused on medically trying to alleviate my symptoms first . After months of seeing terrific results it was then my decision to undergo laser treatments to help with any residual redness. Her emphasis on trying to get a handle on the disease before stepping up to expensive laser treatments was refreshing and has resulted in my skin looking better than it has in years. I highly recommend choosing Dr. Griffin as your dermatologist.

Great doctor. She cleared up a rash I had for months after only one visit. She's very nice and her staff is too. They are all very down-to-earth which is so refreshing.

Outstanding Choice for Dermatologist

by Michael B.

Our immediate family of 5 have all been drawn to Dr. Griffin as a great Dermatologist.

We are 3 women ranging in age from '50s to late and early 20's and 2 men in early '60s and late 20's.

We have tried MANY other Dermatologists but NONE come close to the competence, compassion and caring of Dr. Molly E. Griffin.

In less than 5 minutes you are convinced not only does she know her "stuff", but she is able to be delicate in her approach to answering your EVERY question regarding your skin and those things that may be related to its condition.

Most Physicians would work a lifetime to even approach 25% of her personal one on one "doctoring" skills. Marcus Welby, MD certainly would have had competition in the real arena. She was at 100% from the beginning.

Dr. Griffins caring and incisive look at what "ails" you AND your skin is nothing short of a miracle.

A five star award for sure. A genuine, intelligent, capable and capable Doctor without question.

Dr. Griffin is the best Dermatologist I've seen. She knows her stuff and is exceedingly sensitive to her patients. The office staff is pretty cool, too.
