This is considered going out of my way, as there are literally more than two dozen bakeries in the neighborhood I live in, Chinatown. But the visit was well worth it. Sugar Bowl bakery did not disappoint in showing me that even the simplest snacks and desserts could be done really well and made deliciously. The only problem I had was that their food was a bit pricey; then again, I am comparing prices between this gourmet bakery shop and the small, privately-owned bakery shops in San Francisco's Chinatown.
