I loved Lous! I had the ribs which fell right off the bone. The service was great. The prices were reasonable. Then we went upstairs for some great blues music. The place isn't too big and the waitress made her way to us all evening, even though we were way in the back and she practically had to crawl over the linebackers in the row in front of us. I loved that the place has windows so I got to enjoy watching the rain fall and chair dance along with the unpretentious crowd. Its an SF classic. Check it out!

If you ever get to Pier 47, you've got to stop by Lou's. They have the best cajun food in San Francisco and the music can't be beat. Everything about them is great and if you can swing it, sit outside to enjoy the views.

The service is slow, the waiter is well... red-eyed. Which is alright except that the food is absolutely the worst we have experienced and not inexpensive. So, after watching our waiter go around the corner into the alley several times,

Pros: Music

Cons: All Food

The food is average, watch the clams, their not cleaned well. The only real problem with this restaurant is the service. Part of the problem is an automatic 16 percent gratuity added to orders of $50. and above. I normally tip between

We were a party of four and had the specials. Mine was not tasty if you like eating sand. I had the seafood pasta 2 out of 5 muscles were empty, and over all gritty. Service was bad. Tried to get our waitresses several times even with eye

Ok we've given this place a try 5x already... we really hoped to hear some of the older blues greats given that SF has such able talent, but generally I'd say the music isn't quite up to par (with the odd exception of course) The food

After a busy morning we stopped in for lunch at Lou's on the west-end of the Wharf. It's right at the entrance to Scoma's (down the alley to the pier). The service was great, as well as our orders, a brisket sandwich and crab cake

A place like San Francisco NEEDS a place like Lou's... Lou's is in my opinion the single best place to see regular, live blues by local artists.

Pros: live local acts, atmosphere, service

Cons: can get crowded, touristy location, parking

Lous has been a tradition in SF for years. Many local bands have gotten their start here. Whoever books the talent has a good ear, the bands that show up are almost always good. Mostly blues, and classic rock, occasionally some other stuff. Best time to go is a Sunday afternoon. Gets a good biker crowd by around 3 or 4.

PROS: Great music, no or small cover
CONS: Location, Fisherman's Warf has lots or tourists and tough parking
