wow we were just about to order from Motts from Australia when I already came across some crap information they sent me, which made me suss, decided to do a search and all i can find is NEGATIVE comments, so glad I did... wont be doing

Do not do business with this company. Apparently they are mentally ill. I'm actually at a loss for words. I have never been treated like this. They are liars and thieves. Run!!!!! I suppose I have no recourse but to take this matter up with my credit card company. What a horrible and frustrating waste of time.

Sticking to an abusive contract does not mean that you are right! It could be legal, but not right!!! Maybe the customers just proceed with the order without reading, believing the seller was acting in good faith.
Anyway, I cannot speak for others, but I PERSONALLY NEVER TRIED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION and If you really want to know what it really bugs me is your obnoxious, ironic and sarcastic attitude towards ME "the customer". You should remember that WE "the customers" are keeping your business alive.
And if you have problems with society, you should remember our society is very much the same since ancient times, it is a mixture of good and bad things, and what counts is your attitude towards life. If you cannot handle this, it is time to go to a shrink.

They are complaints from people raised in a morally bankrupt society. One where people raise their children to believe that nothing is their fault. In every case WE performed to the terms of the sales contract. In every case the customer was attempting to extort us into providing goods or services which were not contracted for and paid for.

Again, there is a purchasing contract that governs the actions of both parties. And in every case WE have performed to the standards of the sales contract. There has never been a case where the customer was not billed according to the sales contract, not a case where a customer did not receive a service that they contracted and paid for.

Do not buy miniatures from this horrible company.
I cannot thank you enough for finally sending me the shipment invoice for the very first time, which clearly states, YOU DID NOT SEND ME 5 DOLLS. As opposed to your email message yesterday, clearly stating that you knew the exact box dimensions I got, and that you knew that two dolls were packed on the top of the packing material, and that you knew three dolls were packed below the packing material, at the bottom of the box!

Your company charged me through PayPal approx 68.00 plus, yet you did short my order, according to your own paperwork, by two dolls. I thought you had shorted me 4 dolls, but now I see your company shorted me 2 dolls, as YOUR PAPERWORK SAYS THAT 2 dolls were not available and I should re-order. You outright lied to me yesterday in your email! I see no refund on my PayPal account for THE MOTTS DOLLHOUSES/MINISHOPS NOW admitted 2 doll shortage, much less the other 2 dolls I did not get, and were NOT in the original box.

Moreover, one would hope that the people helping upset customers for any company, would check their facts 1st, and read the customer's emails 1st, before sending any return emails that only further infuriating the already dissatisfied buyer/customer. Moreover, one might expect any customer service employee to spell check their emails before hitting SEND, thus your misspelled word invoice below spelled invice.

So, thank you again, as in your haste to show me how wrong I was in claiming any shortage to my order from MOTTS DOLLHOUSES/MINISHOPS, you proved that you did indeed SHORT MY ORDER, in direct discrepancy of every email you have sent me to date.

Agree totally with the reviews here which mention the snarky, passive-aggressive, bizarre and creepy service at Mott's Miniatures online. If you object to anything at all about your transaction with Mott's Miniatures (or even have a normal question about, say, quality or schedule), expect long, torturous, inappropriate emails in response, rife with "legal" language from this weirdo who is convinced he is a whiz re: all things law and possibly a member of the Federal Trade Commission. But no solutions, not ever. He routinely sends incorrect or substitute merchandise, then spends loads of energy arguing about his "policies" that you "agree to" when you purchase from him. The net of these policies is this: He'll send you whatever the f*&# he wants to (with enormous shipping and "handling" costs -- I truly DO NOT want to picture the handling), and if you complain, you are responsible for sending him a bunch of information he already has (tracking number, item number, etc.). If he approves of the way in which you send the information (this can go on for weeks), he will then let you know that you will not be able to return or exchange what he's sent you because.... See above. You get the picture. The only reason this loser is still in business is first-time customers and customers he hasn't screwed over yet. Believe me, if you order from him and then receive the wrong thing (highly likely), you will never see your money again. You WILL give up -- He is that relentless and unsavory. Horrible place! Don't buy here! I ordered staircases for my dollhouse, which was supposed to be 1" scale. They did not fit. They do not want to give a refund, and you have to search real hard to find the policy on their site. Awful customer service!

This is one of very few miniature and doll house stores in Southern California. The inventory is really large and fantastic, and some items do go on sale at times. The pricing is a little higher than you might find on line, but at least I don't have to pay for shipping if I find the item I need right here. The salespeople are not very talkative and one woman made us feel as if we were bothering her. If not for the large selection of items, the clerk's attitude would have earned this store a lower rating.
