Having been in business myself, I know how difficult it is to maintain a business environment that puts service at the top of the agenda. Well, Sam, his family and his crew have mastered that ideal to a ?T.? When my Pioneer Plasma TV quit working, Sam came out the same day to begin the repair process. Well, it turned out to be much more complicated than Sam had predicted. As he tested the TV, he found that the monitor itself was causing circuit boards to burn out. He followed through with the project even though he knew that his cost was going to far exceed the amount that I was to pay. When the repair time became clearer (multiple boards were ordered) he brought out a loaner TV to minimize our inconvenience. All in all my wife and I were pleased with Sam and would recommend his company. Sam stands behind his work and is a man of his word. I would agree with John French ""anything Sam promises, you can put in the bank.""

Their technicians came to our home and diagnosed the problem, took the unit back to their shop and repaired it at a reasonable price. Sam came to re-install it. The video on my 4-year old 47"" LCD went out one night, and I found Central Electronics through the glowing reviews here on Citysearch. I dealt with Sam, who made the housecall to try and diagnose the problem with the TV. To diagnose the TV, the company charges $40 if you bring it into the store, or $65 for a house call (the diagnostic charge is then applied to the repairs). I opted for the housecall since the LCD is a bit bulky to lug down the stairs and down to Central Electronics' shop in Lake Forest.\r\n\r\nSam believed that the main board was faulty, and brought the TV back to his shop to confirm. He called me a day later to advise me that something other than the main board had went out. He quoted me the repair cost for parts and labor, and had the TV back to my house in 2 days. \r\n\r\nThe only reason I hesitate to give Sam 5-stars is that the total cost of repairing the TV was nearly 1/3 the cost of a brand new TV, the majority of which was due to labor. This is not to say that Sam charges too much for his labor, as I'm sure that diagnosing and repairing a TV can be rather labor intensive, especially when you ask him to make housecalls. It is just that the overall cost of repairing a TV is high enough that it nearly made sense to simply buy a new TV (with the newer technology, such as internet apps and the more energy-saving edge-lit LED's).\r\n\r\nOverall, I am very pleased with the service provided by Sam and would recommend him to people who need to have their TV's repaired. FYI - he provides a 90-day warranty on his work.

My Mitsubishi 52"" was making noise and picture quality was failing. Over the phone they provided a possible issue but stated they needed to send someone out and quoted all costs associated. It turned out to be what they thought, got back to me with cost to repair, ordered part, came back and picked up the TV, repaired in a day and brought it back, set it back up to my surround sound and it looks great. \nFrom Hiedi to Ramon, all very professional, honest to their word and quote and worked around MY schedule. They got it done so we can watch March Madness. These guys are great and I found them through a Google search.

My Sony blew out. I called these guys and they were able to give me a diagnosis as well as a great price on my T.V. One of their service reps Ramon, I believe solved the issue in 2 hours. Other companies I called and the price was through the roof and they couldn't even diagnose the issue. I definitely recommend these guys to anybody.

I had a bad amplifier and found these guys online. Because this site had mostly good reviews, I decided to take it to them for repair. They charged me to islolate the problem saying this charge would be applied to the repair. After about a month the technician identified the defective part, but said he could not locate it. I found it, easily, the next day from the manufacturer and had it sent to them to replace. They replaced the defective part and the unit still did not work. After almost two months of frustration they said I needed the entire amplifier replaced. Very very disappointed. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE

When it's all connected up at my house, the picture changes color and it's doubled. It's not one solid picture. It's cut in half and then double on top of it self. So you see two of everything. Now, before them, it wouldn't display any picture. But since the picture displays now but it's worse than god awful, I imagine they gave me sh-tty parts for the TV. They have I have a month warentee, that they will fix anything for free if it messes up again, and they refused to fix it or even look at it. They started ignoring my phone calls when I called from the number I gave them. They were friendly, and they will take your money. I will never recommend these people to anybody. Sam himself repaired two giant screen DLP Samsung TV's on my premises. The repairs required the replacement of many parts. Sam evaluated the situation and in a matter of moments knew exactly what needed to be done. He had many of the parts in his truck . The parts he didn't have on hand caused him to return to his shop. However, he never had to remove either of the TV's from my residence. After making the repairs, he followed up with a courtesy phone call to make sure everything was working fine. Except for a slight noise in one of the TV's everything was great. The moment I told Sam about the noise he returned to my residence, located the noise, replaced the part that was making the noise and did not charge me one dime for the trip or the part. Sam is a real fine gentleman. I would definitely recommend his company, Central Electronics, to anyone wanting expert repair work from an honest repairman.

He gave me an estimate including the house call which was fair and reasonable and would come first thing Sunday morning. He arrived on time and went straight to work. Much to our dismay, our 63 in DLP TV showed us a Blue Screen. I thought it was the light and found one at Central Electronics. After I installed it, still a Blue Screen. I placed a call to Central Electronics and within 30 minutes Sam was at our door. He ran many tests and concluded that it required surgery to fix the problem. Sam took the TV to his shop and after further diagnosis found the problem. Sam went to the Manufacturer and arranged to send the faulty part to them for repair, since it was an Electronic Circuit Board. Sam returned the following day with a 'Loaner TV' of the same make and our remote worked without any reprogramming. Sam kept us apprised of the work in progress and we were ecstatic when he advised that the TV was ""Good as New"" and ready for return. Sam didn't stop here. Sam set the Cables in the manner they were supposed to be (The set-up Company had not done a good job initially and the picture was not as good as it should have been). After connecting the Cable Box, Blue-Ray DVD and Amplifier, we were AMAZED at the Brilliance of the Picture and the Quality of the Sound. \nSam was not just a Service Representative, he is a Master Technician who is thoroughly at ease and familiar with the intricacies that bring out the Optimum in the Entertainment System. \nCentral Electronics will always be my FIRST CALL if I have ANY issues with our TV. Our Sony TV stopped working and was out of warranty. We called Sony customer service who gave us the names of 2 authorized repair companies. We called the first company and got a customer service representative who told us that they did not see our ""ticket number"" that Sony created and we would need to call them to open a ticket before they could come and fix our TV (even though this was a non warrantied repair). \n\nWe called the next company on the list, Central Electronics. No customer service rep answering, but the owner himself, Sam! He knew the model of our TV and after we described the problem, he told us the 2 possible problems we could be having. Since he clearly knew his stuff, we went with Central Electronics. \n\nSam came out that same day and was 100% correct in the diagnosis he mentioned on the phone (w/o even seeing the TV)\n\nIt was a Wed. evening and told us that he would need to order the part and asked if it would be OK if he came back Friday to bring back our repaired TV. Basically, 2 days to order the part and fix our TV! I thought it would take much longer. \n\nHe came that Friday evening (he came at 6 pm at a time that was convenient for me) to bring the repaired component. He also made sure all connections were back to how I originally had them hooked up and tested the TV to make sure I was happy before he left. \n\nIn a nutshell, Sam is an owner who really knows his stuff (20 years experience) and he is an extremely nice, honest and polite man. I am extremely pleased with the customer service he provided. \n\nI would highly recommend Central Electronics.

Our Sony TV stopped working and was out of warranty. We called Sony customer service who gave us the names of 2 authorized repair companies. We called the first company and got a customer service representative who told us that they did not see our ""ticket number"" that Sony created and we would need to call them to open a ticket before they could come and fix our TV (even though this was a non warrantied repair). \n\nWe called the next company on the list, Central Electronics. I own a Samsung HLP-SU85W and recently, the rear projection bulb wouldn't fire up. As a result, the television was rendered useless. The initial in-home diagnosis was a faulty color wheel. After installing the part, it was discovered that in addition the mother board needed to be replaced and that the parts needed to come from the factory. Check this out... At NO COST to me, I was provided with a flat screen, High Def. loaner. WHO DOES THAT??? Central Electronics, that's who! On Easter Sunday I got a call from Sam (the owner) and he asked if he could come out that day and install the new engine for me. Easter....who works on Easter?? Central Electronics, that's who! Don't be fooled by disgruntled customers who write less than flattering comments on a blog page. Central Electronics knows their business and practices the lost art of customer service as well... if not better than anyone.

I took my tv for repair on 2/20/10. They gave me an estimate that is was the system controller board and that it would be ready by the 26/27th of Feb. Weeks went by and they keep telling me that the part wasn't available that they had to order it from another company. Then on March the 8th they said that the part had arrived but it was defective so they had to order a new part. On March 12 they emailed me and told me that they ""had recieved a new board"" were wrong because the problem was not the main controller board but the that is was the PANEL and that is was too expensive to fix, that I can go and pick up my TV. They refused to give me my estimate money back even though they gave me a bad estimate and they took 22 days to finally "" according to them"" find out what was really wrong. Why should I pay for a bad estimate that was giving to me to begin with? When you pay for an estimate you pay to get an accurate diagnostics and what is really wrong. Its not my fault that their first estimate was not accurate and that it took them 22 days to figure out what was wrong. They have no idea what they are doing and I would never refer them and I will give them nothing but bad reference. I have filed a claim with BBB and will file small claims courst case to get my $45.00 back, why should they keep that money when they didn't even provide me with an accurate estimate and took 22 days to finally give me an "" accurate"" one? They have poor customer service skills yet on their website they brag about high technical services. STAY AWAY.
