L J Quinn's Lighthouse Pub

This restaurant has it all! Lovely dining room downstairs and fun, "peanuts on the floor" Pub upstairs. Both serve the same menu so no matter where you sit, same great food. Their menu has a huge variety of eats, so there's something for everyone. Staff is friendly and laid-back. Pub offers great music too. All this in a historic landmark Lighthouse! Great views of the estuary, especially on the Pub deck. Check this place out, you won't be disappointed!

I came here and even had table reservations for two people. The restaurant looks nice and has a nice view of the Bay - I'm assuming this is why people tend to go here. People who work there are really pleasant however the food is a real disapppointment. We ordered two different steaks and both were supposed to have specific flavors(garlic etc) but they didn't! I have tasted steaks in quite many restaurants before and this restaurant fails below normal to please my tastebuds. Their rice was plain as well. Overall their food is very bland.
Also unfortunately the prices here are very high! You're simply not getting your money's worth. Perhaps their seafood is not bad, maybe worth a try (as I myself have not tried it). But honestly with these high prices and such a huge disappointment when it comes to their steaks - I won't be coming back here. Just not worth it!

This restaurant has a great atmosphere, spectacular service, and the food is pretty good. The food is nothing to write to gourmet magazine about but its all done quite well, one exception the clam chowder is to die for (a must have). Would recommend to all looking for a nice seafood place in the oakland wharf area.
