My experience was good I did five trips Colorado rockies, two grand Canyon trips , Yellowstone and weekend Wine Country. They or well organized with friendly Leaders. There pricing is high end however if you want a worry free trip spend a little more.

After having rec'd their catalogs in the mail for years, I finally went on one of their bike tours in 2004 to Utah (camping). If you have ever seen one of their beautiful catalogs, you will agree that it sets your expectations very high.

The staff themselves were great people and very helpful. But what I found during the tour didn't match the expectation level set by the catalog.

While we were out riding, I expected the van to sweep by more often. It did not. When the leader started us out, he ended up bringing up the rear and we in front were left to lead ourselves. We were given itineraries with mileages on them, but no trip computers were on the bikes (!). One leader said that the trip computers sometimes confuse the customers ..but with a little training, anyone can learn to use a bike trip computer.

At Bryce Canyon, I was given the option to ride a different route alone and I took it. After being out on my own for over four hours, the staff never got in the van to go check on me. I could have used more water and an adjustment to my brakes.

The staff spends enormous amounts of energy preparing lavish meals. Nothing against great food, but I would have liked to see better group leadership.

PROS: Great food & atmosphere
CONS: Marginal leadership
