I honestly think the Dr.s are good. I just simply wish they would take walk ins. I find it very important. I think it's sad when I call and they tell me we have to schedule you tomorrow or in two days!!!!

I have been going to Crown City Medical for several years, and while the adult portion of the office leaves much to be desired, I am more than pleased with the pediatric unit. the nurses are very kind and helpful, and Dr. Azinge is the best pediatrician I have ever had for my son. She is wonderfully patient and answers all my questions. She doesn't rush us through like many doctors on the adult end do. I always feel that the needs of my son are met and that all my concerns are settled when I leave the office.

I was not able to list all of the times I have been to Crown City over the past 11 years. When Dr. Quino was on staff as a pediatrician there it was very different. I would have recommended this place to any and every one. It has changed drastically since the Tysons have taken over and not for the better either! There are only a handful of staff that has remained and those are the people that I usually deal with. Crown City has really declined in the quality of care that is given to their patients. I took my daughter there because her wrist was hurting very badly last summer and I told them she fell on it several days before while at her granny's in Lancaster. They referred me for an x-ray and I went. I called for results and they said not to worry if it was something wrong i would have heard from them already. I get a call back from the doctor 2 weeks later telling me that it is broken! She apologized but I was so concerned about my daughter and if she had healed properly. I was very disappointed to say the least!

I've been going here for 3 years & am finally fed up.

Most recently I made my yearly physical appt (2 months in advance). I still waited over an hour & a half to see the doctor who does not remember me even though I always request him (for consistency's sake). My physical took less than 10 min & then I waited another 30 min before a nurse finally came to draw my blood. After 2+ hours for a total of 20 min of "care," I was finally done.

Dr. Babaran has no bedside manner whatsoever. It feels like he's just trying to get me out of the office the minute he steps into the room.

The receptionist is unfriendly on her best day. She has flat out refused to tell me my own medical records until I got a nurse to tell her to.

Their facilities are nice & a couple of the nurses are decent, but the majority of the staff & primary care are awful.

Bottom line, if you need primary care, go somewhere else.

The absolute worst experience I have ever endured in a "professional" environment. If I had time, I would stand outside and picket to help others avoid the horrible lack of service and great amount of misinformation that led to a 4 hour check up with my 1 and 3 year olds!

Awful place. The doctors are disinterested, mechanical and always resort to the easiest solution for themselves. Every single authorization took weeks to get and there was always some kind of problem that required effort. phone calls and time on my part to solve. The specialists were almost always 20 miles away and there was little or no choice. One staff member told me she had never even heard of a female OBGYN when I asked for a referral to one. I would not recommend them to anyone. They should be shut down.

I listened to one of the posters on here and "gave them a chance" and am sorely disappointed. My wife was having problems with a hernia and went to this Crown City Medical Group. We were told that we would be seeing a PA and that we didn't have a choice. The PA said the hernia was fine and that people live with hernias without any problems. My wife started having terrible pains weeks later and we went to the emergency room and followed up with a doctor at Crown City Medical Group and was told that it would clear up and not to worry. I was called from the hospital later on that week and was told that my wife was dying. If it weren't for the amazing surgeons at Glendale Adventists, I would be a widower. These people at Crown City Medical Group are horrible. Our family has changed doctors and we encourage you to do the same. I tried to submit this review without giving a star but got this response, "Rating is missing! You must give one to five stars." I reluctantly give them a star so you will be able to read my tragedy. My wife almost lost her life and has a terrible scar from the emergency surgery which could have been a simple outpatient repair surgery.

I have been recieving medical care here since I was 14 years old. Of course back then, it was when Dr. Riley (now decesed) was running the place. 20 years ago it was a quality place to recieve medical care. However, we have had soooo many bad experiences with my son's care. He has never had a "real" pediatrician. The changover rate there with the doctors is ridiculous. He hardly ever sees the same Dr. However, we have now requested that Dr. Ayala remain as his pediatrician becuase of our experience with Dr. Jackson. Dr. Jackson mis- diagnosed my son as having swine flu. She didn't even read the lab results from the ER visit, which clearly showed my son did NOT have swine flu. Nonetheless, she went ahead and diagnosed him with swine flu. After seeking a third opinion, from a different facility, we found that our son DEFINATELY DID NOT have swine flu!!!I How can she make such a diagnosis with out doing tests to conclude this?
In addition to this my son was brought into the clinic 8 times in the past three months because he kept getting sick. And the only thing that we were told is that he keeps getting different viruses. After much self advocacy for my son, he was finally referred to an immunologist in the Pasadena area. She immediately knew he had asthma. Obviously the Dr's. over at Crown City don't know what they are doing because they never once said that he might have asthma. My son's dad and I had a gut feeling that our son had asthma because I have asthma and my son's paternal grandfather has asthma. We could hear the wheezing in his breathing. But no one over there acknowledged this! Where do they get their degrees from?? When I called to discuss this issue with one of the Dr. Tyson's I got the run around. No one seemed to know when/if one of the Tyson's would be available. Who is supervising these people??? Do they even have a licence to be providing medical services to the community?? Never go here!!!

Today, I met my Mom for a 2:45 appt with Dr. Ayala. My Mom got into an exam room around 3:15. I waited until 4:05 and couldn't wait anymore since I took time off work to meet with the doctor and get some answers to several questions. I learned that my Mom waited for TWO hours only to be seen by another doctor who really didn't do anything for my Mom. How can an office run like this - with no communication that they are running behind, giving the option to a patient to re-schedule? On top of that, there was a child coughing in the waiting room possibly spreading something to the surrounding patients who were waiting. How uncaring and unprofessional for an office to allow sick patients to mingle with otherwise healthy patients. During this flu season, wouldn't it be prudent for masks to be available for patients who are coughing or showing symptoms of the flu? This shows that this office is not well run and does not demonstrate the care and professionalism it should for the health and welfare of all patients.

I would never recommend these doctors to anyone.

Just took our newborn for an initial check-up after 6 days because she was a bit jaundice and lost a bit of weight before she was discharged from Huntington. We walked in without an appointment and the staff was nice and accommodating. Being a Friday morning it wasn't very crowded (probably more so on Monday morning after the weekend?) and we were seen quickly. Our baby girl was seen by Dr. Nguyen who was incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and caring. So far my wife and I are happy and see no reason for it to change.

For a very busy office, they do pretty well. Yes the office staff is a bit aloof, I personally think they are probably over worked and underpaid. The providers are top notch. They take a systematic approach to my concerns and seem to weed out the important information. With such a busy office and I can see why they focus on my greatest concern, they can't do it all in one day or they would never go home. The female doctor and the female PA are well informed and seem genuinely concerned about my health. These two women seem to see the majority of the patients and people I spoke to in the waiting had nothing to say but good things. Just thought I would write a positive review as I know most people only write reviews when they have something to complain about. Try them, they are caring and conscientious.

well im the same way with the reviews. i never post them and after coming from there i will never be going back. I had made an appointment with the woman doctor i did not know her name my insurance had told me about her and i said ok. so when i went there only to tell them my symptoms maybe do some tests and then they can tell me my diagnosis. when i got it in i got seen with the male doctor he didnt seem to care much about my symptoms he told me i would have to come back for a physical exam but it wasnt till the end of the month. the staff was nice, but the doctor wasnt caring at all, i pretty much paid him to tell me to come back and paying him again.

When Dr. Aquino was in Pediatrics, it was a different place. She was a gem. Now that she is retired, the pediatrics side is as incompetent as the adult "side". Physicians range from mildly to openly combative, often even seemingly disdainful towards their own clientele. Denying adequate amounts of life-saving medicines either out of ignorance or animosity, causing stress and extra work for the pharmacist if nothing else (more of a care provider than any physician at this clinic for sure) The treatment i have received from them is mediocre on its best day. I will never step foot in that place again. They should really be closed down and the Board of Medical Quality Examiners should start proceedings against them to get their licenses nixxed. If you are considering using this clinic for you and/or your families medical needs please, please, please reconsider.

Not having insurance for several years, I was anxious to seek medical care. I have accumulated a list of issues that need addressing. Both Dr Tyson and his PA, Jessica were very personable individuals. Between the individual doing the intake, who did not understand the physical concerns I was raising, to Doctor Tyson who acted as if my issues were no big deal, I left there no better off than I arrived. Some of them were not even dealt with. I regret not raising them myself, but I should not have had to. The waiting room and exterior of the building are quite appealing but overall, the facility has a very clinic/welfare feel to it. Many of the staff members do not have a good control of the language and I found that the simplest things were difficult for them to understand. The wait was not unusually long, but after watching episodes of Sister Sister and Step by Step, which have been in syndication for years, followed by Pat Robertson and The 700 Club, it doesn??t get much better than that. I think that that was a very poor choice for a waiting room. I was thinking of leaving without seeing the doctor and I regret not doing so. I am back at square one, seeking another group for treatment.

I thought that I might add a review for an underrated practice that provides outstanding service for all economic backgrounds. I have been to alot of practices in Pasadena due to the changes in my health insurance, and have only great things to say about the Crown City atmosphere. The vet next door is one of four doctors on the property and she is an amazing mind like her siblings. My wife sees the family practice Dr. Tyson, I see the internal medicinist Dr. Tyson, and my dog sees the veterinarian Dr. Tyson. I hear there is a fourth Dr. Tyson that provides rehabilitation medicine... we don't have any need for that right now, but if I did I wouldn't hesitate to see her!! These young and progressive doctors are changing the face of medicine. Go in, try them out, and don't mind the wait... they are worth it! When have you ever been to doctor's office and been the first in and first out?? I remember... before we socialized medicine and only paid in cash!!

I don't usually write reviews, but after going there today, I had too. I had questions for the doctor, and she just ignored them and kept talking about something else. Before leaving the office I asked her again, and she reluctantly answered that this appointment was only for ___ and that if I had any questions I had to make another appointment. She didn't even tell me if it was something I had to worry about or not, simply that I needed to make another appointment because my insurance did not cover that. I did not know that you needed insurance for a question to be answered. It left me confused and worried because I didn't know if my condition was normal or severe. It shows that if you do not have the money, they are unwilling to help you. She said that she had to be with another patient. I'm pretty sure that if I had the money, she would have been more than happy to help me and make some money off me. I also requested a female doctor the last time I went, and what do you know? A male doctor walks in. The female intern doctor that was assisting him also suggested that I needed to see a psychologist because I requested for a female doctor. It was not a pleasant experience, and I would rather go to another doctor's office that appreciates my business and treats me with repsect.

I came across the reviews for CCMG while looking up their address. This was my first appointment with them, and after reading the reviews, seriously considered cancelling the appointment. I am glad I did not. The staff was unfailingly polite in spite of a busy schedule and several difficult patients. I was there a total of 2 hours, which these days is pretty normal. I received the referrals I sought, the PA was pleasant, as was the MD. (I have walked out on doctors who have kept me waiting in a cold exam room in a paper gown).

PROS: Pleasant staff
CONS: Interesting parking, noisy waiting room and service area (2 TV's & Muzak!)

I've never before seen a bunch of incompetent individuals in my life, running a medical clinic. I went there to get an EKG, and was diagnosed with a bad heart by this place, so I followed up and went to a Cardiologist and was again given an EKG only to find out that Crown City initally hooked me up to the machine incorrectly, hence giving me an abnormal reading. My heart has no problems. This place is the worst. The people don't know what they are doing. Given people life changing diagnosis, causing more stress and worry. I have since changed physicians. This place sucks bad! Don't go there.

This is a very nice place for a Dr.'s office. the Dr's have a good bed side manner. The people that work there are very friendly. You are always treated with kindness & compassion. Their facility is a little difficult to get into right now due to construction but once completed will be one the best facilities in the greater Los Angeles area.

The first time I took my mother to this doctor's office I had an appointment with a docor recommmended by Huntington Hospital, when we arrived we were told that doctor was not available would we mind seeing a P.A.since we were already there I agreed. We saw this P.A twice and was satisfied with her, she checked with the doctor a few times when we had questions.(which I appreciated)The third visit we saw a doctor and we've been very pleased with the doctor. The staff did call to ask if we wanted to reschedule since the doctor was not available (which I appreciated it) At one time the P.A in trainging came in and I was NOT happy with him at all,we saw the doctor as well on that visit.
The acoustics are terrible in the rooms as one can hear the conversation between doctor and patients.
Due to ongoing construction the parking is horrendous!
I would love to have all these (including my)review emailed to the ffice so they are aware.Anyone have the email address?

PROS: The male doctor is friendly and caring,The nurses are fine.
CONS: Wait time is terrible! The front desk staff is rude, uncaring, unfriendly

I rarely write reviews, but I work in the healthcare industry and my experience with this medical group was one of the WORST of what I've seen and worked with before. Once I arrived for my appt, the apathetic and rude staff tells me that they don't have doctors scheduled on this day (which they should have told me when I first made the appointment). Since I'm already there and have taken off work hours, I agree to see a Physician Assistant. When I'm finally seen, its a PA STUDENT that does my exam and all my tests, I even have to remind him which lab tests he should order for me. Throughout the visit, the supervising PA only says hello to me at the end of my "doctor" visit - nothing more. A few weeks later I call to request a copy of lab results and the rude receptionists begrudgingly agrees to send me my lab results after having to convincing her to let me fax back a release form instead of having to walk into the office and sign in person. I just received my results today in the mail and realized they never ordered the one specific lab test I requested. I'm still in shock at how poor the quality and customer service is at this facility because this is extremely unsatisfactory care.

An awful place to go for medical care! I had a morning appointment with my new doctor and when I arrived, I was told she wouldn't be available until the afternoon. No one called me to reschedule the appointment because there were "others on staff who could see me." The others on staff that day were two Physician's Assistants and when I finally was seen (after an hour in an uncrowded waiting room) it was by a Physician's Assistant in TRAINING! I asked for routine blood tests to complete my physical, and when the PA in training went to ask about them, I could distinctly hear the PA say, "don't let the patient tell you what to do," and then he proceeded to loudly discuss my case with her for the entire office to hear. I will never return there to actually meet my new doctor!!
