From the outside, Geisel Library looks kind of like a spaceship. It may very well be the most original looking library out there. Theres 8 floors, with the higher floors designated as quiet study areas. The library is usually packed during finals but I was still able to find a seat with a little searching.

PROS: great for studying
CONS: can get crowded during finals

From the outside, Geisel Library (the main library) looks like a makeshift spaceship or something odd of the sort. Lots of mysteries surround the place, such as the missing third floor and the legend that it has underground tunnels leading to other places on-campus. Despite this, this library, in conjuncion with the other ones on campus (Biomedical library, International Relations & Pacific Studies, etc), provide a plethora of resources for those looking for a leisure book or for scholarly research. From the library's computers, one can also access search engines online for articles and journals. The higher floors provide privacy and silence for those who need to study. Librarians are very helpful as well.

This is a great university library. Giant periodical section with newspapers from all over the world. Also a huge music library. If you can't find what you want here, they are connected to a circuit with several other library branches. Good for quiet studying as well. Also, watch films here at the Film and Video Reserves.
