i think all reviews should be done by people who actually know what there talking about . aluminum coolant lines CAN be welded . look into it. for ur information most places give you the worse case. most people would appreciate it when a business is HONEST and tell you it wasnt as bad as they previously thought and surprise .... they saved you a couple of hundred dollars

I took my minivan requesting the shop to check the airconditioner which was cooling but not very efficiently. I got a call later in the day that there was a system leak and that evaporator needed to be replaced - total cost $611. Also to add insult to injury the repairman (Larry) claimed that all the freon was removed as they could not legally leave it in the system since they had found a leak. They charged me $50 when I decided to take the van back and check around. I checked around and found the quoted price to be comparable except other repair shops wanted an additional $200 for filling back the freon completely and so I returned to Freddys . I told them to complete the repairs and also provide me with the old evaporator. When I returned to pick the van somehow the price was only around $300. The repair now found that the evaporator was ok and only some O rings and valves had to be replaced. He had also welded a crack in the line he claimed - welding an aluminum coolant line - what a crock!

If you suspect that your radiator leak might be something even a little more complicated than requiring the simplest repair, then do yourself a favor and take it to a real mechanic. My girlfriend's car starting leaking bad. We took it in to Freddy's and they said we needed to change everything -- new radiator, hoses, the works. Almost $750 later, they said the car was ready. The next day, a prominent leak was still there! Did they even test the car after they "fixed" it? Sure, they would be happy to look at it again, provided we pay full price for the labor and whatever else they missed the first time around. Question: If I'm going to have to pay full price to fix it a second time, why would I take it to the same place that negligently missed the problem the first time around? Trying to resolve this matter was the worst part. They were extremely rude and hostile. I finally had it fixed right somewhere else. Thanks for nothing, Freddy's.

Very good and professional service. You can have the confidence of knowing that you are leaving your vehicle in good hands. It is true, as the other review states, if there is nothing wrong - or if they cannot fix the problem they will tell you up front. I even took in my commercial vehicle, something they no longer do - and did not at the time - but since they saw my emergency, they went ahead and did the work anyway. I recommend them to all my family and friends.

This place was recommended to me by a friend, and they really came through! They are one of the few places that will tell you if nothing is wrong, and not charge you! They even picked me up from my house when my car was ready! This is a small single owner shop, who is really there to help you out.

PROS: Open early, 6 days a week.
CONS: A little busy sometimes
