Dirty chef, table cloth as blank, dessert with hair  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

We went there to have a late lunch with 2 friends on a Sunday. We were the only clients. I almost paralyzed when I saw one of the waiters taking one table cloth in order to sleep (in the bench) using it as blanket, and he didn't care we were there! . Then the chef came out the kitchen (His white uniform was all covered with food spots) and he decided to do the same thing as the waiter. And the last thing: We found a hair in my husband's dessert (mango something).

Overated  2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

This place is incredibly overated. It is almost to the point that I wonder if they bought reviews and wrote some of the previous comments below. The food was bland and that is being kind. The service staff were very rude and slow. The price was par. I especially disliked the offering of rice with my dish (which other places include) and then being charged for it.

No, Mr. Waiter, I don't want to buy $70 worth of food!  1 Star Rating - Unsatisfactory

Their waiters will try to push every single item on their menu as if your life depended on it. They will suggest bread and rice when you order an entree as if it were free. You then check the menu to see if it is and it's not. Their smiles disappear when you tell them you don't want to eat that much and will ignore you after you do that.

Many better places to eat in Oldtown than this overrated sh*thole.

Great Lunch Buffet  5 Star Rating - World class

Go for the lunch buffet. I pile up on the lamb curry -- it is incredibly good. Free naan. Don't wear anything that you would mind getting sauce on -- b/c curry just doesn't wash out.

Best Indian Food in Southern California  5 Star Rating - World class

I love going to New Delhi Palace. The food is great, the staff is incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is so calming. They offer a great buffet lunch, which I believe is served daily. When I go for dinner, I always order palak paneer and chicken masala. The prices are reasonable, and they have a parking lot with free parking. I highly recommend this restaurant.

PROS: Great food, adequate/free parking, friendly staff
CONS: None!

Great food; Excellent Service 5 Star Rating - World class

I recently started going to New Delhi. The ambience is a bit dated, but the food and service are great! I went there on a Sunday afternoon, and it was serving buffet only. I found the buffet to be less enjoyable because the food that's served is for the general public. Personally, I prefer dishes that have more of a kick. Overall, I highly recommend New Delhi for its food.

Pros: Food, Service
Cons: Decor

One of the early originals in Pasadena! 5 Star Rating - World class

My comments about this place is about to change for the better compared - to my previous review 4 years ago. Having visited here recently because it was late and we didn't want to travel too far, so we decided to try out and see if there were any changes...boy let me tell ya, I must say that the place has very much improved. From the newly renovated theme, the staff, the menu, and they even reduced their prices. I had the never-before-seen item on their new menu, the "Shrimp Masala"...man oh man, I can't believe how good it was and I can just return to New Delhi Palace every week just for the item alone. The "Vegetable Pakoras" were also very good and not to mention the delicious 'Naan' bread that the waiter had complimented us at no charge (due an ordering error). This place has really gone through a 360 degree makeover - right down to the T.

Pros: new theme, new item on menu, parking

Horrible Service 2 Star Rating - Wouldn't recommend

My friend and decided to try the New Delhi Palace for the first time this weekend and that will also be our last time. After we finished our first serving of nans we asked for some more and they never came. Later I asked for some champagne. We waited and waited and it never came, so we left. Not only was the service bad, the food was also bland.
