We visited this restaurant for dim sum on Christmas. It was a little bit busy. Finding parking was a little confusing.

This restaurant was only okay--I've tasted better. One of my favorite dim sum dishes was not circulating--deep fried taro root.

We can walk to Pan Tao in about 15 minutes. It is our favorite Dim Sum restaurant. They have a pretty good variety of Dim Sum (not as many as Joy Luck, for example) and each item is very tastey.

This is my favorite dim sum restaurant in this area (it used to be Sam Kee, but changes names and ownership(?) a couple of years ago. They have lots of selection and (at least during their busy weekend times) they have lots of carts so the food is always steaming hot. The porridge is good as well as the Sin Jian Bao (steamed pork buns). We try to get there by 11:00am so that we don't have to wait for a seat. Parking is terrible. I have tried going here on weekdays for dim sum, but the selection isn't quite as good. I've never been for dinner.

Pan Tao is one of the best dim sum restaurants in the South bay area. This place gets extremely crowded on weekends, and parking is a problem as there are limited parking spaces. If you don't come earlier, you may not find parking and you will have to wait for a long time for a seat. The popular dishes include specialty dishes and desserts (egg custard tarts, etc) are usually snapped up really fast, so if you arrive after 1pm, there's not much of a selection left. Service is okay, average. Most of the customers are Chinese. Dim sum dishes are pushed on little carts.
