I just spent a lot of money to have my hair stripped of any life and what was once a waterfall down my back is now split ends and everywhere frizz. I cried when I saw what they done to me.

On May 25, diPietro Todd turned my pretty, silky hair into black straw.

It was so bad, they sent me to a Vidal Sassoon-trained colorist. She tried to fix it. Twice.

But no one can fix all the breakage.

They also neglected to rinse out all the dye. I didn't realize until it had ruined my outfit and linens. Kim Todd promised to reimburse me if I emailed her. I did, May 31. And again June 11. And left message, the last one July 3. But she never did.

So here I am with fried hair and ruined linens and clothing.

Unless you want to have hair like black straw, spend hundreds replacing ruined items and getting corrective haircuts, and lose a day of your life to this misery, avoid diPietro Todd like the plague.

I really wish I had.

Debra Fallon is a gifted stylist - experienced, perceptive and she listens. Brooke is a talented colorist, the best I've had in years. The salon is known for being one of the best in Marin - the talent there is consistently excellent.

Pros: excellent stylists and colorists, great product lines

Cons: a little pricey

I've been going to DPT in Mill Valley for years. I've seen various stylists and colorists over time. All know what they are doing, it's just a matter of finding the one that works best for me. I recently began seeing stylist Debra Fallon and am very very very happy with the cut she gave me. This is no small thing - I'm picky and critical and will usually spot any flaw instantly. She gave me a quick, expert cut, and voila, I look great. Debra is a very likeable, friendly but not overly-talky person who's lived and worked around the world. I can't recommend her enough. She is a star.

Pros: well-trained staff that is always up to date and current on trends and techniques

Cons: not inexpensive

Generally a good experience. But the colorist who does my highligths just doesn't get it. Every time (twice thus far) I've had my hair highlighted I've had to go back for a redo!!!!! At $270 dollars for a full head highlights, and 2 1/2 hours to process - to have to go back and have it redone because it's too dark!!!!!!! Ikes!!! Something is wrong.

The cut was ok, not great. But I just found a new stylist there that was great.

Very expensive and I would go else where if I knew who could do a better job.

Pros: Nice salon atmosphere - lots of room, not squeezed into the next customer in the chair

Cons: Inconsistent. Redos on color/highlights is unacceptable at these prices

Di Pietro Todd in Mill Valley is the most fabulous salon I have ever been to. Shelly Mohr did the best color I have ever had, and she was willing to sit with me and ask what I wanted to do. Yureesh my stylist was amazing also, he gave me a cut that worked for MY type of hair (very thick and wavy), and even spent the time to show me how to style it at home by myself.

I will always go back to them! If you don't belive me get a free consultation with any of them and check it out for yourself.

I have been going to DiPietro Todd for over 5 years now... All I can say is Great Atmosphere, Great Cuts, Great Service, and Great Talent. To that point, my stylist, Heather, is amazing. Her own change in style reflects her expertise and understanding of fashion. She accomodates my requests, and also makes recommendations that always illict great complements from friends and co-workers. She is absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend DiPietro Todd

When I moved to San Francisco I tried several salons without luck. Then I discovered Caryn at DiPietro Todd. What an amazing woman. Everytime I get my hair cut, it is perfect. What's even better is that the cuts last. If I am too busy to get in for a shape up, I can easily go for 6 or even 9 months and look great. What is especially great about Caryn is that she cuts the style to the person - she can get my style spot on (straight hair banker), my girl friend (conservative mid westerner), dear friend (super curly euro) and even my mother and her friends. I always think she should charge more...it is that good of a cut!
